Yup. Hunter is closer to being MKG or WinSlow than Kawhi.

I'd give up Prince to move up to 5 though, just not for Hunter.

Wow u and Supes? What don’t you like? Just wondering what he doesn’t have as far as tools or what’s on his resume. Can’t get much better on paper.

Yup. Me 'n KingSupes are the unholy alliance.

My issues with Hunter are (a) I don't generally like UVA players, all super-solid but low ceilings (i.e. not lotto guys) and (b) questionable motor/intensity (i.e. not lotto guy).

I think, at best, he'll be a Khris Middleton type. Sure he's good but he'll likely top-out at a 1 or 2-time all-star. I mean, that's ok but look how long it took Middleton to get just that good. I'd rather spend time on a higher-ceiling guy.

And we all know you can't quit us. If'n you do, who'll give macd a hard time?

 macdaddy never addressed the Kyrie trade. Strikes me as a guy who loses a game on the courts takes his ball and leaves.

You are really too focused on where a prospect went to school. It’s like a great prospect coming out of Georgia Tech in a few years and somebody saying: GEORGIA TECH? HELL NAH I FONT WANT ANOTHER MARBURY. Just saying separate the prospect and the school.

It's not so much the school. It's the system. They have a type of player they target and they have a consistent culture/development system. It produces similar players.

Under Cremins, GT had a 'type' of player and system. He liked guys who were brash and had great individual skills. Produced good pros but I could see how someone wouldn't want a GT guy. They tended to be individualistic.

Got it. But didn’t Virginia produce Malcolm Brogdon?

Yup. I love him. I want to sign him. I wouldn't have drafted him in the top 10.

Trade with Jazz - they are interested in getting Conley from the Grizzlies but they need to clear salary.

Favors ($16.7 mil/1yr) and Pick #23 to Atlanta for pick #44.

Hawks get an early 20s pick.

I’m almost certain this is who Schlenk targeted from the beginning had we landed in the range to draft him, he could fall to us at 8 but doubtful with the big championship game he had. This kid might have the most NBA ready body after Zion and Bruno.

I love the tools. I question the intensity. When I look at Brandon Clarke, it’s all intensity, Hunter not so much. Again that doesn’t determine things all the time I mean look at Kawhi, he’s a mild manner killer.

Has Schlenk reached yet on a trade outside of the Dwight one? Wonder if he loves Hunter enough to reach. Interesting.

Easy pass

ETA: And I begged folks not to be swayed by the tournament. The tournament is the reason Donte Divicenzo is in the league when he should be at Villanova.

Isn't Hunter also on the older side? Or maybe I'm wrong.
In 3 years you'll be hearing he's 25 already.

Boom. Get it done, burd.

But then how do I explain to all the folks on the trade board? I've been on my high horse the last few months about how the Hawks do not want any more '19 picks.

Just eggsplain (LUCY!) that Hawks would be taking a flyer on perfect fit Johntay Porter at that pick

But then I'd have to explain why we took an oft-injured, out-of-shape Marresse Speights clone.

Fine but as long as we trade like 2 or all of our second rounders..or stash I guess but I only want 2 or 3 rookies on our roster for 2019-20. We already crazy young which is good but we can’t suit up 73 rookies on a roster.

Hey wait, weren't you supposed to be taking a break? :)

I'd be fine with Hunter at like 10-14 but we were talking about trading up to 5 to take him. I'd balk at that.

Lol, I know that's what TS has said but he started off the season talking about our possible 3 2019 picks before the Cavs pick up and vanished like a fart in the win.
I'm thinking since we are picking lower than anticipated at #8 and #10, mid 20s 1st might add some value.
We can also look to trade down from #10 and get a future 1st as well.

We'll still have the same 5 picks we started with, now it's 3 1st and 2nds (cash considerations and GL/Stash).

If the rumors of Michael Porter's health are true, would you float that 10 pick out for him?
