Can you believe this is the highest pick we have had since 1985?

20 years of incompetence and we never picked higher than 4th. Unbelievable.

and his college numbers are very, very similar to Wade's in college (when he was 2-3 years older).

RJ is 18 years old. Seems like he has room to improve too.

Also, I looked at some video. His stroke doesn't look broken.

The problem with his shot is he's very mechanical with his stoke and he shoots it out in front of his face, from a low position. He will need room to get off clean looks and it's not the quickest release.

That is correctable, but if he's a threat to penetrate defenders will need to give him some space

definitely not broken just a little flat. more fixable then ja’s double elbow flare imo.

We've seen how much the mental game dictates shooting. Frank, and even Baker, have good strokes, but they choked on their shots a lot. If Barrett has a killer mindset, then I'm not sure it would be an issue.

Well ****.

Clark is good, but he's not a SF.

He's masquerading right now.
Also, it's very easy to cheat the vert test

I think it's more important to look at if athleticism translates to the court than in empty space. Clarke is super athletic either way, just saying I don't put too much stock in the vert test

Same as Kahwi who shoots like a robot. Even Kobe had a bit of flat release

Most of that time we never actually were in possession of our own pick

Clarke might wind up being a really good player, I don’t think I’d take him 3rd just because of his age but he could possibly help make an immediate impact for some team

Nice. My Sister used to watch him when he was in daycare and he's friends with my nephew. She sad he was a very good kid and very respectful. Would be cool to have him on the Knicks

I read that his trainer and Nash had him change his jump shot last summer. RJ said that he’s shooting everyday and it feels good but the confidence not all the way there. This is why I can see him improving. Give him this summer and his rookie year and he should be decent

I think Barret only interviewed with Memphis and Knicks then went home

I'm coming around to RJ Barrett. If Steve Nash is his shooting coach, then we should expect RJ to improve his shooting.

and he already has an NBA body. I can't stand Duke but I watched them enough to tell you he's going to be good.
