We need to roll into 2020 with

Legit Vet/Okobo
Booker/Bridges
Oubre/TJ
Legit vet/Bender
Ayton/Holmes

If we somehow add some LEGIT vets like Blake at the 4 and Dlo/Jrue at 1 then we might be able to further bolster our weak 1 and 4 spots by getting some average vets to sign for the MLE at 1 or 4.

But I'd rather not give up Booker/Bridges/Oubre/TJ/Ayton/Holmes. That is our 6 core young guys we need to keep.
Have to be smart and land some under appreciated guy who happens to lose out on the free agent musical chairs. Every year there's some bargains to be had and the good GM's find them.

I like that too..haven't responded because it seems odd they'd trade Bjelica, but maybe with Bagley there it makes sense. Bjelica would be a great get though, especially for Jackson. And they have Barnes for awhile, and depth on the wing with Hield and Bogdan so could just hope Jackson develops by the time Barnes is gone.

Really seems far fetched given that Irving all season said "Young guys don't know how to win" and all that stuff. He seems really really full of himself. I get that a lot of basketball players are, but I'd be pretty shocked if he even gave us consideration.

I have no logical reasons why Kyrie would come to Phoenix but in a way he's probably the most likely of the max guys to come simply because he's a super weirdo who could do something that no one would ever expect.

I really don't like the cut off his jib but he's so good it's not like I wouldn't take him if he wanted to sign.

It’s a shame Jimmy Butler is a headcase b/c he’s perfect for this team strictly from a player standpoint and has recently played for Monty. I don’t think they go full max with having to potentially pay Simmons/Harris.

What? Jimmy Butler is a small forward/shooting guard the positions that we are most stacked at. He doesn’t do a good job of providing vet leadership. With the holes that we have at point guard and power forward how do you Butler would anything more than distraction let alone a perfect player?

A name that I haven’t seen thrown around this year is Dennis Schrador. I don’t think the thunder keep their roster intact , so they might be willing to move him.

Anyone think Orlando goes for:
6th Pick
Bucks Pick
JJ
Tyler Johnson (Expiring)

for Aaron Gordon?

if this trade happened, and we then renounced Daniels and Holmes, we could get $18m in cap space, which we could use to sign DLo to an offer sheet? Would be very hard for the Nets to match that with their FA plans. Then you could re-sign Oubre, and have this be your roster:

DLo/Melton/Okobo
Booker/Bridges
Oubre/TJ
Gordon/Spalding
Ayton/Bender

Would definitely need to use the MLE to add some shooting, maybe a Rodney Hood type? or even bring back Daniels.

Butler’s true position is SF and he’d be the most complete player on the team. As I mentioned he’s a headcase and it wouldn’t work chemistry wise so it’s moot but having a bunch of role player wings isn’t a reason not to pursue a star at that position over PG.

The reason that nobody mentions him is because his contract is pretty bad for his production, For 15 million per and 3 yrs.

And he's only been around a 30% 3 point shooter for his career. Other than that, he's not too bad though.

But the suns should likely have cheaper comparable options in free agency too.

You haven't seen his name thrown around because he's an awful basketball player on a pretty bad contract.

I'd rather go into next season with Tyler Johnson than handicap the franchise for years to come with Schoreder's contract.

I would eat his salary if they add Grant. Love Grant next to Ayton.

I was convinced that after Orlando made the playoffs that AG would be off the table. Some of the Magic fans around here disagree. I doubt the magic would want to eat that money.

A trade that works is Warren, Jackson, #6 for AG and #16. Its probably more than most are willing to give up.

Oh I'd absolutely do that trade, hell I'd probably do it without 16 coming back.

Love grants fit too. Mentioned earlier I'd be 100% fine trading 6 for Grant.

Yeah, I'd do that but I don't think Orlando would. They seem high on AG and are also big on wingspan, particular types of players...neither of TJ/JJ have that.
