I could see us trading for another 1st rd pick. Maybe trade DSJ for a mid 1st and target a stretch 4? If we feel like Kyrie is coming it makes sense to shop him now.

We already got Frankie smokes, why do we need a more aggressive version?

Shouldn't they want to build up RJ in the media if that's he case?

I guess GM's/FO's feel that around the league, a player is scouted and there is a general consensus on their value. Sure, one team can like a player more than another, but I doubt fluffing a player in the media changes another team's mind, in terms of liking a player a little more. Again, most teams are probably fairly close in their player assessments, but choose one guy over another based on fit, need, or even that they rate a guy a little higher, but not THAT much higher. Especially towards the top of the draft.

Conversely, if a team says a lot about a player to the media, all that that is inviting is getting a portion of fans wound up for that player, only to be disappointed if they draft someone else or trade the player drafted. I guess it also creates x amount more 2nd guessing.

On the 3rd hand, I'd think the Knicks wouldn't want to talk up RJ so much as it's not 100% a given they'll draft him, if only that the Grizz pick 2nd and get to choose. What if they pick RJ,after the Knick brass puffed him up in the press for a month?

this is why getting anything outside of the top 3 would have been a disaster..

or if Zion returned to Duke we would be looking at a guy like Culver..

This is what I want to see next year being reported in the Post:

If the Knicks realize their summer dreams, their new starting lineup could feature Kyrie Irving at point guard, Barrett at shooting guard, Kevin Knox at small forward, Kevin Durant at power forward and Mitchell Robinson at center.

If NY gets both Kyrie & Durant they are both ball dominate and attract attention. RJ also is more effective with the ball in his hands, how would those 3 co-exist? Culver on the other hand, does not have the best outside shot but is better suited to play off the ball as a spot up shooter alongside Kyrie & Durant. Dotson will be invaluable alongside Kyrie & Durant in my view.

Defensively I think Culver is superior in every way to RJ. Offensively in time and if you want, I can see Culver able to run your offense as RJ would be able to, though I think Culver’s skill set over time will evolve to be on par with RJ who right now is superior to Culver but not by much.

And lastly I compare Culver to a more aggressive Ntilikina who I’d be far more comfortable moving if I’ve drafted Culver, especially if NY indeed lands Kyrie & Durant. Note, 2 places I’d look to move Frank to is either Atlanta or Phoenix. To Phoenix for Josh Jackson or to Atlanta for the 10th pick where I’d draft Rui Hachimura.

In my view this is a 10-12 player deep draft. Not many stars outside of Zion & Ja, but plenty of really good to great starters and rotation guys. I think Culver can be a star (Paul George) and at the very least a very solid starter.

I trust THIS front office to pick the right player and I love how they’ve moved in silence for the most part. I also hope they pick Jarret Culver.

Don't know if this was posted yet, but I'm always a fan of Dime Drop stuff

Some of this guy's tape looks amazing and yet, some of it looks terrible

Like, one second he looks like a better KP, next he's Olowokandi

Interesting prospect, but I'm out

Spoiler:
But maybe not for BaF
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

Looking like AD to Knicks is a lock. We have to make sure we do everything to keep Robinson. He was 2nd rd pick so his contract would be perfect! Dsj, Knox 3rd pick mavs 1st rounder

If we have too throw frank in. Ill rather keep dotson if we having a big 3.
