AGREED! We didn't get an opportunity to see a LOT of his game because of how NCAA ball is played, but he did show time & again the ability to come through in the clutch! He was overshadowed but who wouldn't have been?
Sidenote: Knox, who is only a few months older than Barrett has exhibited not only a willingness to get better but also a DESIRE as evident by going back in the gym almost immediately after the season. WHO DOES THAT?!
Then there's Money Mitch, who just turned 21 in April...
I swear - unless someone somehow can GUARANTEE me a championship because of AD, there's just no way I'm trading potentially 3 studs for him AND Dennis/Frank AND DRAFT PICKS.
HELL NO!!! I'll watch these kids first and keep the hope alive. lol
Im with you! It's desperation...Madness...I say if "Ainge" is willing to give NO everything for a one year AD- let him...
I say we make an offer that's enough for NO to say while the laker offer is better it's not enough for us to keep AD on the west coast.
And as far as Boston- if I'm AD- I make it clear to Boston that I'm not -no will I ever sign an extension- Let me see Ainge make the deal then- He'll just be doing the work for us in eliminating a team that we have to deal with...
^^ This ^^
If Boston goes all in for AD. The Knicks win because any Boston trade would weaken a division / conference rival for a rental that has already expressed no desire to sign long term in Boston.
The Lakers best offer will be something like Kuzma, 4, the Ball family (wait till NO catches the act of an EMPOWERED Levar Ball, and a guy in B. Ingraham that has serious medical issues (blood clots).
That's the competition.
And to beat those offers it id said thst the Knicks would have to invlude
#3 pick, DS Jr, Knox, Mitch, 2 first round picks, Frank.
That Knicoffer doesn't only beat the competition its laps it twice (while NO has no leverage).
If that's the competition my best offer (which is problematic from a salary matching stsndpoint: which really is the issue) would be Mitch, Frank, DsJr, and A first round pick.
I 'm not throwing in RJ Barrett and multiple 1st when I judt have to beat a competiting offer of 4 snd Kyle Kuzma. I might evrn throw in another 1st BUT NOT RJ.
