yup, I'm in the same boat.pacehawk wrote:Sorry if this has already been brought up but if you were drafting for the Hawks and you didn’t already select Bol Bol (Which, I don’t think they will) do you consider picking Tacko Fall with one of your 2nd Round Picks? The Hawks have 3 2nd Round Picks so is it worth taking a gamble on this MASSIVE Player (This Guy IS Huge!!)?

I know we play fast so Tacko is probably not on our board but should be on Philly's board

Do not fall into the consensus trap. Any player after the Big Three could be available. The guy that goes 12th could wind up far better than the guy that goes 4th.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Prep
Tacko Fall is one of the least athletic, least coordinated prospects I've ever seen.
His only talent is being tall.
I would bring him in as a Undrafted Free Agent.
But there other more appealing options with our 2nd rounders.

My boy Keldon on the list? I knew Schlenk had a thing for him. He’s got a lot of dog in him to anchor our D. Reach at 10, trade down to 15-20 if we want to grab him. Keldon, Clarke, Thybulle...at some point we need a defensive stud somewhere on the floor.

I’m down with Cam. As far as Bruno goes...
Haze, we’ll go out have a cup of coffee, maybe do a few sets of shoulders and bi’s in honor of big Bruno....and then maybe put the actually drafting of him to the Hawks to bed.

Ps I’m not loving the way ur guy is twitching at the top of the barbell movement there. It’s bad for his back. We just want a smooth motion up and down. No herky jerky.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Prep
Will the real Luka please stand up... wouldn’t it be hilarious if we grabbed him in the draft and he turned out better than what’s his face.
1. Keep an eye on Luka Samanic
International players will be few and far between in the first round. But it may have expanded by one after Thursday following a complete showing from Croatian sensation Luka Samanic.
Samanic balled out in the scrimmage portion of Thursday's combine, scoring 13 points in a stellar outing in fewer than 20 minutes played. The 6-foot-9 1/2 forward tested well, too, with a shuttle run, max vertical leap and three-quarter court sprint that all rated inside the top 5 of draft-eligible players at his position.
Samanic showed off a pure, smooth shooting stroke that netted him a 5-for-7 outing in his scrimmage. And better yet, Samanic showed the type of agility and versatility that NBA scouts were thrilled to see. Samanic is the No. 37 prospect on the CBS Sports Big Board, but may be a big riser upon the imminent update next week.

Look’a here, bwah: Hayes is only 1” taller than Bruno, yet Bruno has the same massive 7’3” wingspan as Hayes, making Bruno’s height-to-wingspan ratio even more impressive than Hayes’s. Bruno also bests Hayes in both standing and jumping vertical. Bruno also has a much better post game, shooting stroke, motor/dawg/swagger, and then there’s this:
“Texas center Jaxson Hayes is projected to go ahead of Maryland's Bruno Fernando in the draft, with many citing his athleticism. At the #NBACombine, Fernando had a 3.27 second three quarter sprint and 3.46 shuttle run. Hayes' sprint was 3.31 seconds and his shuttle was 5.26.
— Lila Bromberg (@lilabbromberg) May 16, 2019”
Hayes is Top 10 due to athleticism, Bruno outperforms him athletically. In leap, AND speed. Spud be SLEEPin

And even though Bruno can outjump and outrun Hayes, he has 20lbs more muscle (220 v 240). Both 5% body fat. 6’10 240lb fast leaper eat up with dog, and gifted with a 7’3 wingspan. Bookmark it: Bruno will be a better pro than Hayes

Guys you realize that Fernando is a sophomore and Hayes a freshman, something important when you are comparing two players

Yup. And their freshman nimbers are simyalurr, bigs take longer to develop, so older is sometimes better in that department.

You guessing Hayes’s leap and speed increase as he gets older/heavier?

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Prep
I'd probably take Kabengale before Bruno, that just me at this juncture. As far as interest and interviews, the Hawks will probably get to everyone not named Zion, Morant, and Barrett.
