Some people are prisoners of the moment.

He's been an EXCELLENT role player but he's not HOF level, sorry.

Naw. As much as I love the guy I don't see how a guy who isn't considered a top-20 player of his era can even be in consideration. At some point we have to stop bastardizing the Hall of Fame into the Hall of He's Really Good.

i love iggy but no way man...these HoF standards really needs to be fixed.

we need an NBA HoF and it needs to be much, much more exclusive.

pretty much seems like scoring points and making lots of all-star games is the only barometer for getting into the hall.
so no Iggy aint gettin in. very small chance.

for me, a lot of my favourite players were guys that impacted the game in a versatile fashion and have a major impact in playoffs. So Iggy, Marion and Manu, to me, are some of the best guys I've seen play, even though they weren't always dropping 20ppg and playing in the all-star game. Don't get me wrong, you always need guys who can score at the highest most elite level, but the guys who bring all the other stuff get overlooked to a ridiculous extent. I feel like when we know more about basketball in the future, we'll look back and laugh at how good we didn't know Boris Diaw was, or that we thought Kyrie was better than Horford, or that fans didn't think Draymond was good or that KG wasn't an arguable top 10 player. Hot takes, but hey, thank you for coming to my ted talk.

He doesn't deserve it, and probably won't.

BR has his "HOF Probability" at 6.1%...which is actually more severe than I would have thought given his Finals MVP (which I didn't agree with, but it's still on the books).

Is Iggy anywhere near the caliber of player that Pierce was in the NBA?

Iggy is not making the NBA HOF. If he does they should close their doors.

They'd have to open the doors first.....

He's not a HOFer imo. Good player, but not HOF worthy. Not that it matters... basketball HOF has low standards compared to other HOF.

Good player. Solid player. Not close to a Hall Of Famer. There are 20-80 guys a year that are better than him most seasons.

his profile does not look like a hall of famer's profile based on the current standards that have been set.

The dude is not remotely close to being a HOFer. Like, he shouldn’t even be on the ballot. I don’t understand how over 30 people have voted yes so far.

Are we talking about Paul Pierce? Defensively, he might not be as fearsome as Iguodala, but he makes all that up on the offensive end. As much as we roast him now on ESPN, he's a damn good scorer in his prime.

People question TMac getting into the HOF, but Iguodala is being considered? Get out of here. A career 2nd/3rd/4th option who now rides the coattails of the greatest team ever assembled...no. Iguodala is not a HOFer. He’s a bench player on a good team.

Plenty of players in the Hall who aren't as good or just as good as Iggy / I'm indifferent to the HOF

I would say he does get voted in assuming he gets ring 4 and plays another major role in it.

I don't know. He definitely shouldn't be, but I can see him sneaking in 20-30 years down the line. If you look at this year's class, it's all guys who waited decades to get in: Moncrief, Sikma, Bobby Jones, so it could happen eventually. (But it's worth noting they all had much better resumes than Iggy)
