A player like Knox would be needed to match salaries. So, they better get high on him quick!!

rj would need to have a total brain transplant to accept a roleplayer role. that also happens to be the way he can make it in the league.

basically everything is projection of extraordinary improvement from him. the age and drive thing is on his side but it may be misapplied to bad habits.

it’s no surprise NO isn’t high on knox. i seriously doubt knicks can make the AD trade without giving up mitch. however, they can trade for a guy like Beal and be in as good of a position as trading for AD.

thats hilarious considering the clear and stubborn attempts at showing up zion rj has repeatedly done.

cant ignore basic reality just to feel better about this position, or you will lose bigger.

Some people are high on the projection of RJ as a Harden type, but he can just as easily end up more of a Tyreke Evans (strictly on court)

You guys gotta realize this is all part of the negotiating process.

Them saying they aren't interested in some of our pieces, us trying to upsell our pieces...it's all in the game. Don't believe everything you read.

Everyone and their mother knows Dolan is going to spend all of the cap this off-season regardless if it's good or bad money. Let's just pray KD is interested this time.

this is a nice overview of rj’s season. to be fair he had good on/off but that tends to be team roster dependent.

the lack of steal and block is particularly concerning as he will need to be a good defensive player to contribute to a winning knicks team. steal% is also a sign of anticipation and game sense, which is lacking with rj. all of the star level lead players in the league had good steals%, and the low number here weighs against rj’s upside as an initiator.

the turnovers is also another sign of this. if you just watch his games his passing is deliberate and need to happen in set plays. he would make the pass he decided to make at the start of a drive even if the defense already blocked the lane.

Of course they aren’t, statistically Knox may have been one of the three worst players in the NBA last season. That’s without mentioning the horrific body language, the motor issues and the obnoxious comments about us « stupid » Knicks fans. The Pelicans know this. He reminds me so much of Bargs.
what was his comment about Knick fans? did not hear it.

Steve Mills has grown a lot since that THJr signing.

Let’s see if he follows through with this.

That's their way of saying they need a LOT more. He'd be in the deal.

Well RJ might not be able to put up a “dogfight” versus Zion for ROY if KD and Kyrie come here.

Among our existing players under contract Frank and Knox would be the least appealing.

If the trade for AD happens, the Pelicans team would have been us if we had landed Zion in the lottery and had chosen the rebuild path.
