clarke and cam? could be. clarke is an incredible athlete and it translates into his play. some have concerns about his weight?

Reddish and Clarke have elite role playing potential.

Weight shouldn’t be an issue long term

I would bring him in as a Undrafted Free Agent.

But there other more appealing options with our 2nd rounders.

Seems league observers disagree...

I had him in my top 40 for a reason. He is going to drop after the combine but not much and is still a 2nd rounder.

Bazley and Roby are impressive 6-9 guys with skill and athleticism respectively. I caught snippets of Bazley's scrimmage and he made a huge block in transition. Josh esque from the small sample size.

Yeah, Bazley definitely has some Josh Smith in his game.

I'm honestly not sure what to do with that...

Bruno Fernando has to be the choice for the Hawks, if they want to draft a big man. His combine numbers match up to what I saw in the regular season. He's the best athlete among the guys who are 6-9 and above, and is the best all around shooter. Bol Bol may have a better 3 point shot, but Fernando can score at all levels on the court.

Who are the Hawks expected to target with their two picks?

I assume they want Reddish at #8 but curious what they would do if he’s not there . Surely they wouldn’t take Coby White.. has there been any noise about interest in Doumbouya ?

If Reddish, Hunter and Culver are gone then we will have a tough call at 8.

The rumor is Reddish but if he is not there the others are Culver or Hunter.

White is suspected to be going either 6 or 7.

There really is no idea what we want to do with 10. My guess is Sekou if Washington doesn't take him or Hayes if Washington doesn't take him. We like Fernando a lot as well. Some interest in Little as well

It seems like the order is clear for

Zion
Ja
R.J.
Culver
Hunter
Garland
White
Reddish

We just need to put it out there that we are open to drafting White. Simple as that.

Things will change probably in the next week as mocks begin to get reshaped by some combine performances, but at least, this was the immediate assessment of the mocks produced by major outlets in the 24 hours after the lottery...

Thanks guys. I guess it really feels like the Hawks have locked in on Reddish for the #8.
I wonder if he kills it in workouts would that push him ahead of a guy like Culver or Hunter? Hmm

Feels like it, but who's really to say? Mock drafters are characteristically not employed as scouts. At best, a few of them have talked to a few scouts, and based on that and their own inclinations of what teams will authentically go for BPA and what teams will go for team needs and even at that who teams' scouting staffs regard as BPAs and what teams' GMs regard as most urgent team needs... we get some cloudy picture of what arguably might happen.

And I can't say it would surprise me to see Reddish go as early as #5.

To me the Cavs and Bulls are the only realistic threats to take Cam. I believe he's way too raw for the Lakers. I actually believe the Lakers will take De'Andre Hunter since he's the most NBA ready and has a decent three point shot. If the Hawks really like Cam, they may be willing to part with the 10th pick to move to 5. If Travis is willing to do that, then I have to believe that Cam might be special.

I don't recommend that though. If it's the Bulls, we can probably kiss some seconds goodbye to move up and grab him. I'm way more willing to part with seconds to move up a spot to grab Cam. Hopefully, none of this comes to fruition and he's sitting there for the taking. I'm with Supes on this. Cam will not be great with every team, but with the Hawks he can become really good.

I would hope that they then go and get him still.

Just listening to the rumors, but they seem to believe he is the best obtainable fit with Trae & Huerter, and surely he is. Great offensive potential mixed with high defensive upside. Seems like the perfect player you put on the wing with them. He doesn't need to be a super star in my opinion. If he can just be star player or push Trae to be 1a/1b, then that would be all we need. Even as a 2nd option, I would call him a success.

Who knows what Schlenk thinks... but this draft couldn't line up better for me if Ressler decided to call and ask me to take over :D ...

Reddish #8, but if not available, Bouya.... Bol #10, and prepared to keep him, but more happy to strike a deal with Ainge for #14+#20... and swipe Bruno, who I personally think has essentially the same high ceiling as Bol anyhow.
