thats hilarious considering the clear and stubborn attempts at showing up zion rj has repeatedly done.

cant ignore basic reality just to feel better about this position, or you will lose bigger.

What is wrong with you? You have real RJ issues and need help. The fact you rate Beal so high is another symptom. The guy is Eric Gordon. Good, but not a top 2 on a championship team. RJ has a single concerning weakness, and that is his jumper. Wade shot UNDER 30% for most of his career and finished at 29%. He was 32 and 35% in college at 21 and 22 years old. Obviously your analytical skills and objectivity is severely lacking. BY ALL accounts, RJ has a very real possibility to be the best player in the draft.

RJ has more weaknesses than just his jumper. He's got bad tunnel vision and isn't a good defender. That can't be waived off as nothing, his shot needs to get incredibly good to offset average defense in order to become an all-star.

And when was the last time the best player of any draft had steals/blocks as low as RJ? He isn't capable of playing the game a step ahead of the pack like the elites do. When you watch the best players, you see how they can anticipate the opponent's moves to a good extent. They can toy with guys "below" them with a mix of IQ + athleticism. RJ has shown none of that, and that isn't something you develop. You either have it, or you don't.

Combing through the drafts (for equivalent steal/blocks), the best I could find is Devin Booker and DeMar DeRozan. Those guys are nowhere close to best in their draft, both are moderately good players who can't win because they're overpaid for what they do.

I don't think anyone in this draft is a superstar outside of Zion.

That being said, I think RJ has the potential to be a very good player but he has to work on his efficiency.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

His ceiling is that of a superstar his chances to reach it may be of a lesser probability.

And it may take a couple years to get there. All the more reason you make the deal for AD.

I’m really liking this RJ Barrett pick. Would be a great SG
For this team for years to come. Really could develop into a DeRozan. He’s a great slasher and disher and will be a double double every night

I say screw the Pels and dissolving the team. It would be more fun watching a group of young talent develop and sort of “home grow” a championship team along with some Veterans here and there than actually
“Buying yourself” a championship by manipulatiing stars to coordinate a rigged team

Does anyone really feel that the Miami championship was
Truly earned or just rigged. (LeBron/Wade/Bosh

Irving
Barrett
PJ Tucker
KD
Mitch

Should reach the conference final

I would rather the Knicks look at one of the Morris brothers than PJ. Neither of them are too good to take a MMLE

Irving
Barrett
KD
Morris
Mitch
Matthew 6:5
Luke 15:3-7

Could get a good player there but still.

Damn I'm surprised at how active their forum is

i think there was a big migration to realgm this year after the #1 Hawks board (Hawksquawk) went down.

This will be something to consider if we knew KD wasn’t coming. It’ll have to be a pick swap with 2 extra first round picks with 2020 unprotected and 2022 top 10 protected

yup I would do that. Either Culver or Garland at 5. If Culver gets taken at 4...then Suns come calling desperate for Garland at 6 and I ask for another 1st from them... :o

similar deal to the hawks/mavs swap could work.

I'd probably take the same kind of offer Atlanta took from Dallas last year:

2019 #3 for 2019 #5 plus 2020 1st Top 5 protected / 2021 1st unprotected

Doubt Cavs would offer that.

I'd do that probably. Take someone like Jarrett Culver or maybe Hunter. Maybe even Reddish if they really believed in him or believed they could flip him.

That being said that would probably be #3 on my list of moves with the pick (Currently at #1 keep it #2 trade package for AD)

Ah, I see where you're going with this now.

Yeah, I'm for it. Dunno if that's the team's approach but I do like Garland/Culver and it would give us something else to play with.

Barrett in the 3 spot may be this years Doncic. Not in terms of game but in terms of overall upside and ceiling. There will definitely be teams (incl the Pels) who will love that
