similar deal to the hawks/mavs swap could work.

Ah, I see where you're going with this now.

Yeah, I'm for it. Dunno if that's the team's approach but I do like Garland/Culver and it would give us something else to play with.

interesting enough it would allow us to keep all our young players too in a sense we would lower our cap space by another 1.2 M

If you can get deandre hunter or darius garland and a future lottery pick you got to pull the trigger. Cavs will continue to suck.

Also the inconvenient truth about RJ that nobody really wants to talk about is his lack of a jumpshot. That 3 point percentage is low and his poor ft shooting is not a good indicator that he is going to improve much.

And look at the best players from the lottery the last 2 years, they all happened to be good shooters coming out of the draft except for the pg in sacramento fox. He did improve his shooting.

Even if you go back 3 years ago when Ben Simmons was drafted. Ben doesn't have a jumper and right now siakam is currently a better player because he can shoot.

Take JA and forget about DSJ. Just gotta tell him how to land on dunks. Plus RJ makes sense for them as a playmaker since Collin isn’t much of one.

Hunter would be a perfect fit if we did this. I mean, I like Culver and all, but Hunter's skillset slots perfectly in a starting lineup with 2 star scorers, and his skill level is high enough he'll be a positive from day one

Kyrie (or Kemba)

Hunter
KD
Mitch

Very balanced starting 5 with only one negative defender (or none if it's Kemba instead of Kyrie)

What if they feel there are two other good PG's, who they can get one of around 5th, and also pick up two first round picks?

I'm not saying it's a slam dunk they'll do this, just that they might consider it.

People are just penciling in Ja at #2 and Barrett at #3 to the Knicks a little too easily. Yes, it's probably 99% going to happen, but it's ot guaranteed.

Let the kid go somewhere where he can be a ball mover and great defender. People don’t appreciate him here. I see his impact but all people see is scoring. It will be a huge mistake.

Then all we will hear is knicks defense this Knicks defense that.

As expected. Many reasons to do it such as shedding salary, not having minutes for him in the rotation, building a win now team

it's from an article he wrote yesterday
They also will look into offers for Ntilikina to see if they can add another early second-round or late first-round pick.

Ntilikina has been a disappointment in his first two seasons and will make $5 million next season.

Moving Ntilikina would give the Knicks plenty of space to enforce the option clauses of Trier and Damyean Dotson without affecting their room for the two max contracts to land Durant and Kyrie Irving, whom many league insiders feel have talked about forming a Knicks tandem.

Do you think hunter can play the 2? I think kd starts at 3 but closes games at the 4. I don't want kd getting banged around all game by the draymond, giannis and LeBron type 4's. Durant is so skinny I feel like one elbow like jokic gave kanter in the playoffs would put kd in the hospital. Kd as the second big means he would have to rotate to the middle if Mitch and deandre have to run out to the corner. Thats where he would really have to bang in those situations. I want to protect our investment.

That would make some sense. they seem to really like Trier and Dotson. If you can get a pick for Frank, that's a plus as well.

I mean, I get it, between the 3 SGs on our roster he is the worst overall and most expensive

I just think it's a mistake trading someone that versatile defensively who is already really good on that side of the ball. If he had a consistent 3 pointer, he'd be a starter on most teams

I trust Perry's ability to make trades, and he gets a lot more leeway in the sense that he hit twice on 2nds/undrafted guys last year, so obviously I hope who we draft is better but I don't like it right now

It’s gonna be a mistake but it is what it is. Maybe a change of scenery is in order.

That consistent three might be harder to find than defense, but from how things appear to looking, the stakes are rising.

Players have to prove they can perform now. Frank really hasn't done that consistently on either side of the ball. His defense actually regressed from his rookie season. I don't have an issue with him staying, but I doubt the team is about to wait and see if he can develop into the hope.

Frank wont be a sticking point in acquiring Davis.
