Dare I say he brings a Donovan Mitchell level of intrigue :o

I know about the immaturity concerns and the issues he's had with the head coach but damn he's oozing with talent

Just looked it up and I'm not sure what you mean by pretty bad. I don't know what his vertical was but I don't even care, he's a high flyer and I can tell that just by watching him. But he's built like a prototypical NBA 2 guard so I'm still confused by that comment

it’s average size and wingspan. not bad i suppose about the same size as rj but a bit shorter.

it’s just that length is really important on defense and for finishing. kpjr has the quick twitch athleticism to be successful with those measurements but they didnt boost his stock. i’d be more excited if he was longer.

im pretty high on kpjr so i wanted like a 6’11 wingspan to justify trading down for him

There are concerns about him and his measurements are probably the least of those concerns

6'4" without shoes
6'5.5" with shoes
6'10" wingspan
213 lbs

His size for an NBA guard is just fine. I'm more interested in his mental approach to the game, if he has the "IT" factor and how dedicated he is to getting better and improving to be the best version of himself. He could be the next Nick Young or the next NBA Superstar

I love Porters game, but he's kind of JR Smith'ish/ Nick Young/ Michael Beasley in his behavior and discipline which has killed his reputation and is dropping him in the draft. If we can get a second pick I'm all for him on skill along.

But his skill when locked in is more on a Harden/Mitchell level, he would be a great late pickup and our staff can handle him.

So true

I've been listening to his interviews and he doesn't sound like an air head like Smith and Beasley do and he might take the game more seriously than Nick Young did. Nick Young could have been so good but he was just way too laid back and goofy and never seemed to take the game as seriously as he should have to max out his potential. KPJ seems to have a different personality but that doesn't mean he will reach his full potential either. It's gonna be very important for him to land in the right situation

to be fair the level headed knicks fans were ok with it. It was those fair wheather band wagoners that only know zion were really pissed about it....I mean it was an 86% chance it wasn't happening and some were banking on it happening.

we are in a good spot

It’s really unfair for me to say this but I get a vibe from this kid that he’s just on his best behavior and once he gets guaranteed money he’s gonna be a problem.
His interview at the divine came off very Eddie Haskell.
(Yeah I’m that old) I can be very wrong and I’m ok with that. I’m not bringing this kid to NYC. He’s super talented tho. Top five talent IMO. But I’m staying away.

You're so damn smart...a genius. I can't believe not one of all the analysts and evaluators can see what a waste RJ is. Those guys are deluded into thinking he's a future star. You should call them all and set them straight. I bet there's a front office job in your future once they see you're right...keep on keepin' on.

i mean it’s literally true that rj is good at generating inefficient shots. he took basically double the number of shots as zion. it’s pretty historic usage.

Been hyping him up since last summer. If the Knicks decided to trade down for him I wouldn’t even be mad. Dude is a nasty scorer

This video is stupid!

I don't know many fans who were actually bashing RJ the player or whoever lands at #3. The "tripping" came from us never getting a break for so long and getting SO CLOSE to finally being in the driver's seat (with #1) only to get disappointed yet again.

Sure, the #3 pick is still good and way better than #5 or anywhere else we could have landed. However, if I had a chance to win a $100 million grand prize but ended up only winning 3rd place with $1 million, of course, $1 million is still very good and better than nothing -- but I'm still gonna be disappointed I didn't win the grand prize. It's only natural.

To call fans "clowns" for being disappointed and not jumping for joy over the #3 pick as quick as some were able to do is stupid.

I remember Brendan hyping the heck out of the 2005-06 season and we ended up being the second worst team in the league LOL.

In fairness to him however Frye-Nate-Lee was a good set of first round picks then.
