Yeah you hope his 3 pointer comes around, and I think it's not as far off as people suggest, but he's not a rotation player on a good team until it does, and that might be next year, 2 years from now, 3 years from now, and if we're trying to compete next year, having 4.5 mil tied up in his development is a hindrance more than anything
I wasn't referring to anyone in particular as neither shammy or Thug did. I thought we were speaking generically. They're out there.
They're talking about guys like Frank that aren't shooters
There's plenty of 3 + D guys out there, and plenty of bad defenders that shoot 3s, but not that many bad shooters that defend that get minutes on contenders any more
That's not what I read when I was responding if you'll go back and look at my original post. In any event, you giving up on Frank already? He "can't shoot"?
Frank's form is fine. Granted, he's struggled between having two head coaches in two years, complete turnover in the organization, leaving his home in France at 19, having no summer league or preseason his rookie year, being jerked around by Fizdale and then being injured most of the season.
Mechanically, Frank's jump shot is fine. It's his confidence. That's it. And it will eventually turn around. Look at Marcus Smart and Derrick Rose. I know there are others as well. Trust me, you'll be kicking yourself if we give up on Frank too early. Show some patience and it'll pay off.
