My strong hatred for the warriors caused me to believe that they would be dethroned with Durant out but obviously I was wrong lol.
I guess they only needed him for the LeBron matchups.

I hope KD understands why people will forever hold it against him for joining GSW.
They honestly did not need him. All they needed was Harrison Barnes to make a couple jump shots. And I’m being deadass. KD was just overkill.

After winning without him the past few games, the message couldn't be more clear to him now.

B2b Fmvps was not needed... lol people are so blinded by their irrational hate and hot takes it is comical lmfao.
A 1 game sample size vs Houston was a clear indicator he wasnt needed..ok there hahaha.

They also need Green to keep away from Lebron's bawls.

Can’t even hate on KD for going to GS
He’ll get his 3 rings and bounce. A lot of players can’t even say they got one in their career.

Irrational hate? Son I went all the way to Oakland a few months ago for the sole purpose to see the Warriors in Oracle arena for the 1st and last time.
Warriors with depth and a above average SF would’ve won the Finals against the Cavs the last 2 yrs. And again, if Harrison Barnes simply performed at an average level in the finals during the 73 win season, they would’ve won again.
I’m not denying KD isn’t a great player. He’s a hall of famer and was worthy enough to win finals mvp. Take him off those teams and I believe gsw still wins and Steph wins those finals mvps instead. Or Klay. Or Dray. Cause they are that good of a team.
Taking KD off and replacing his salary with let’s say a 17 million dollar SF, with a 10m C or 7th man, and a 3m vet min type of player. They still get it done.

B2B Fmvps mean jack ****. Lebron James could sign with the Warriors, get those FMVPs and it doesn't mean that it's needed. Best thing KD did for the Warriors was weaken the OKC Thunder.

Maybe GSW make KD look better than he actually is? Hope he does not turn into Melo 2.0 once he signs with us.

NO he wasnt needed and thats not to say KD's not a great player...Curry, Dray, Klay, Iggy, Livingston, Bogut and the others-won 73 games...Thats the problem with some of you posters you dont understand how powerful chemistry is...It's not guaranteed. Not to mention, some of you just think- all Curry does is throw three's up...KD's dominance is actual predicated on Curry and Dray changing their games and deferring to him(when talking about Curry and DRAY playing with him)- making them LESS dominant and hampering their own potential...Hence this concept of overkill being given life...If KD deferred to Curry and stuck to just defending and being a spot up shooter- he wouldn't have won those finals MVP's...
Basketball isnt about talent alone- its about a system and usage or who has the ball in their hands and how often-aswell...While Durant is taller and a better all around scorer than Curry- Curry is a point guard- whose a better and faster shooter- with better handles and a better play maker-ultimately having a larger impact on his team...

yeah- It's the "law" dont we hear that alot in life
All KD needs to do is come to NY- and put on his GM cap by taking less so he can build his own dynasty team- its as simple as that...
And I mean significantly less- f the money- thats what I would do if I was him...I would be an example to players and get some other gorillas - like Beverly-Harell- some killer shooters-etc...

If the Raptors take another game, Warriors would have had a week to rest up.

Well KD- dont complain when your Knick team falls short because you dont have 6 years to put it together...

Re: Around the NBA - Blazing into the Conference Finals
Warriors signed KD to stop the Thunder. The Thunder were better than the Cavs that season. In the WCF, the Thunder really wore the Warriors out in that series and flat out dominated them in Games 2,3,4. They should've won that series had KD and Westbrook didn't choke. The Warriors were bruised up and beaten going into the Finals and the Cavs took advantage as the series went along. It's my own opinion but I've always felt the Thunder were the true real threat to the Warriors dynasty at that time.

Re: Around the NBA - Blazing into the Conference Finals
The Warriors without KD seem to play a more fun style of basketball. I love watching Draymond do his thing and it's fun seeing Steph having to score. Despite this, I see KD as being a great player, but really, he was never the best fit there. He does make them stronger, but he changes them, too. I think the team is happy when they're without him.
I'm not certain why Kanter didn't play more... how could they possibly think his defense is poor and his offense very limited? He was getting double doubles, man.
And the question of the day: is there any other reason to have GS besides the fact that they keep winning? There's nothing really horrible about how they play. It's not like they all flop like Harden. Of course, I hate them for winning too much. But is there any other reason?
