DSJ’s old numbers #1 and 4 are now freed up with Mudiay and Hicks likely gone.

if I remember correctly, and I think I do, Fox was primarily noted for his defense in college. His scoring was very much secondary.

fox was a stud coming out and there was a strong collective that liked him above zo and fultz

I've never understood why these two are linked. The hair? Very different players.

Every great team usually has at least 3 players they drafted and developed. They were all young at one point. You have to pay your dues. There are others, like the Spurs. Far more successful examples of building than there is FA or trading for Super stars.

The need to pay your dues is my whole point.

KD won't be able to rely on these guys in the short term. I doubt he's interested in waiting until he's 34 so Knox has time to develop.

You're missing my point. I am not an advocate for signing a super maxxed 31 year old player. I'll roll with the kids while they grow and pay dues. At least as long as they have a solid veteran presence on the team to help them be pros. Impatience will be every teams downfall. There are tons of examples.

Well, that's an entirely separate debate

he got to rim at will and finished with great touch and athleticism. shooting was projection. good passer in pnr.

it wasnt an all defense prospect at all, had high offensive ceiling pending jumper

Don’t be surprised if the Grizzlies run with Conley to the end of his contract. Makes a lot more sense to add RJ to the mix and remain competitive short term

I’m just hoping knick brass isn’t dumb enough to pass on Morant if he is available

Perry/Mills stating there has to be a significant gap in talent to draft the same position
No dude. You take the BPA. DSJ can’t shoot the 3 ball steady and probably never will. Folks on the board “hoping” the guy learns how to shoot. Same hope a lot of folks had for Frank. Forget it move on

While Ja's not wanting to score is a bit scary, I still think Memphis takes him and trades conley. Ja Jackson duo is just too mouthwatering to ignore

I dunno man, I still think the Griz take him.
They don’t own their pick next year.
They might as well ride it out and stay competitive with Conley, JJ, Barrett, Jonas, Bruno (whos improved a lot).
I think in a workout setting RJ is gonna show out.
Unless he torpedoes it on purpose...

And I think the opposite of Ja. Up close in a workout setting his warts will show more.
I dunno. (Whoever) Probably getting traded for AD anyway.

We gonna draft Ja and start him next to Conley because while Ja is skinny he's 6'3" with a 6'7" wingspan and ridiculous verticle. Conley is really good off the ball and is excellent coming off of screens shooting 3's. This will also allow Conley to only play around 28-30 minutes a night which is better for his soon to be 32 year old body. Also we need to win as many games as possible so that either Boston gets a poor lottery pick like they got from the Kings this year or if we jump in the top 4 we get to keep the pick since it's still top 6 protected next year.

Do you think there is any chance Conley is moved?

I don't get it either

They even hired Rosas from the Rockets and you would think he would bring in that similar style to the vision of the team so Rui is like the exact player who doesn't fit that style.

OKC is also looking to move on from Andre Roberson by giving a promise to Matisse Thybule. Gotta imagine they will be looking to deal Hami Diallo or TFerg but I'm guessing it's gonna be Diallo

I'm gonna be salty af if Memphis pick RJ at 2. It wouldn't surprise me if they did but I would still be mad. Whoever we draft hopefully it's not gonna end up like a Curry/Hill situation.

Return to New York Knicks
