i haven't looked at that in awhile. but is that strictly from 3 ? i thought he did decent from mid range. his 3 point shooting was kinda bad and he took plenty. but his stroke looks ok.

we don't have to pretend that rj is better than zion now. that's when this board starts to lose it's credibility.

Why are people against Morant? Let me guess small school? Came out of nowhere? Small frame?

free throw% and steal% are big predictors of shooting success and general stardom at the next level. both are bad for RJ.

throw in the limited handle and craft and it's not very exciting.

A large factor in his inefficiency was his decision making.

On the other hand, he wasn't that good in spot up situations and his FT shooting is all on him.

But, those things are correctable.

Look how Fiz fixed Knox and Mudiay

well....

somebody taught dotson how to shoot at least. that's something i guess.

Dot shot 44% from 3 in college, so it wasn't Fiz.

i'm glad i'm not the only one, something about him doesn't seem right.

if Memphis does for some reason go Barrett im trading 3 to the suns so they can get Morant. For #6 and there unprotected 2020 pick.

You would get one of Garland/Culver/Hunter + suns unprotected 2020.

Throw in Mikal Bridges as well and I would happily do this deal if Rj goes second.

Not aggressive enough and I question his alpha instincts. Im sure he'll be fine though, just dont want him here

If Zion doesn't develop a jump shot then he could be. Barrett is the more polished player.

i wouldnt say im against him i would feel more comfortable with this pick if the knicks didnt have any intentions on going after big names in free agency and taking the win now approach. If we get KD/Irving this is pretty much a waste of a pick outside of trying to trade it for AD

But other than that how far do you go in todays NBA with ball dominant point guards like JA who arent off-ball type players? you'd have to build a bucks like team around him and he'd have to reach a john wall, Greek freak, or westbrook type of level to where he is hard to contain even if he's not much of a threat from outside.

His defense is kind of questionable as well and not the greatest frame, but ive always given him a pass here because of how much of a work load he carried on offense.

i wouldnt be mad if Grizz took RJ and we took morant though they say its a 3 player draft and we still currently suck so why not.

I like Morant but I would stick with DSJ for now. Both have similar upside but DSJ is more proven and plays defense. Let’s say the Knicks decide to give DSJ another shot at starting PG next year and he regresses, I would then look to replace him with someone like Cole Anthony, RJ Hampton or Theo Maledon

He finishes around the rim at the same percentage as Mudiay while playing against guys who aren't even close to NBA level rim protectors

His defense is downright terrible

And his shot, even at it's most optimistic projection, will be average

Also he weighs less than Isaiah Thomas without much room to add muscle. His only positives are passing and athleticism, everything else is a negative. He'd be like if you made Trae Young super athletic but took away his jumper
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

i'm sure last year's lottery pick who has performed to expectation is not considered a throw-in at this point.

dude, morant is better than dsj.

there's a million reasons to avoid morant, having dsj ain't one of them.

dsj is going to either be traded or come off the bench because one of kyrie/kemba is going to be a knick.
