Same. Pass on Rozier.

I still think that Irving ends up in New York.....but with the Nets. That decision causes KD to join as well. I dont buy all this Kyrie to LA BS. Sure, Him and Lebron might have made up, but Irving made the choice to get away from Lebron, and i dont think whatever happened between them over the past 2 days has really changed anything. Star players who are smart and can go to damn near any team they want HAVE to be looking towards the eastern conference, as it makes it so much easier to make the playoffs and isnt as cut-throat as the West. Irving wants New York, but wants to go to the better franchise. I also feel like Durant is sick and tired of this talk that GS doesnt need him and that his accomplishments are somewhat tainted.

Im calling it, Irving and Durant both sign with Brooklyn.

Nets have to renounce Russell to make this dream pairing happen.

The question is will we have enough capspace at that time to land the Booker Buddy?

I'm with Kerrsed. I don't buy Kyrie to LA. I think he's smart enough to know LA is potentially a sinking ship with a captain that's going down with it. The Knicks is a boat that's still in the shipyard getting built by ship builders with a historically poor reputation. The Nets is a yacht that's already out at sea, already on its maiden voyage and just needs an experienced captain.

It would take a miracle for LA to trade for AD and get another star because it would take that other star accepts less money than they are probably worth on the open market. Lebron has gotten buy-in from all-NBA players before to form the Miami Big 3 but I just can't see it happening again.

It could, but im not predicting we would get him. I dont even know if the FO has a desire to get him.

Im just going off the rumored teams that are supposedly interested in Irving, the ones he supposedly has interest in, looking at their capspace scenario (If they would have the cash to make other moves), and what the end product would look like.

I think with the Nets if you were to replace Russell with Irving, they would get just as far (if not a bit farther). They made the 6th seed. I could see them as a 4th or 4th with Irving, as his game is better all around than Russells.

Durant could be going anywhere. I really dont see him staying in the Bay. I think no matter what he will be wanting to pair up with at least 1 other star, and very well could be looking towards the Nets if they have Irving locked in and ready to go. That 6th seed they made this season...take out Russell and insert Irving AND Durant, that looks like a top 3 team in the East easily.

I'm sure you saw this in the wiretaps?

There is "mutual interest" between the Brooklyn Nets and Kyrie Irving, according to Anthony Puccio of SNY.tv.

Irving has been monitoring the Nets' development this season and is considering signing with the team, according to sources.

The Nets are also said to be interested in signing Irving even if they re-sign D'Angelo Russell, who is a restricted free agent. The team would ideally like to pair two max free agents together, but are open to pairing Irving and Russell in their backcourt.

Irving and Russell reportedly have a good relationship, with both players having played for Kevin Boyle in high school.

Obviously if Kyrie did go there it would make it more likely that KD would too but they would also have to renounce D Lo and RHJ and probably do more to get two max spots.

I don't think he goes to LA either...I hear most about NY and Brooklyn...though LA wouldn't surprise me knowing he's gotten to the finals with LeBron, but I think he likes the east and he did grow up there in Jersey.

I think if the Nets were to go to after Irving they wouldn’t really be interested in pairing DLo with him. I think that’s just the Nets saving face in case Irving doesn’t go there they can simply say DLo has always been the priority.
Though if it was true and they wanted to pair DLo with Irving, I assume they would attempt to trade Dinwiddie and the Suns should immediately be on that phone call.

I will admit - before the season the Raptors became my team, other than Suns to root for. Kawhi is one heckuva player. I didn’t think they would make the finals - though they started like 13-2 or something very good. Should be an interesting finals.

I've been a casual Raptors fan for a while because I have family that lives there and we've watched playoff games together in Toronto. So I've always had a soft spot for them as the lone Canadian team that always seems to be an underdog. After years of losing to Lebron in the playoffs and having what I thought was the best team they could conceivably put together last season, I thought that was their best and last chance. Then Ujiri pulled off the ballsiest move a GM could pull off and said F it, broke up the super friends that is Lowry/Derozan to bring in a legit MVP caliber player in Kawhi who was not only coming off an "injury-plagued" season where no one really knew how healthy he was and essentially on a one year contract. To top it off, they fired their HC for the last few playoff runs and replaced him with the assistant coach. I was honestly skeptical but hats off of Ujiri for having the stones to swing for the fences.

You know what I didn't realise until today (mainly because I didn't think the Raptors would make the Finals), the Raptors has home court advantage in the Finals over the Warriors

If we go for AD, Ayton alone would the most valuable single asset by far offered in any of the trade rumors. Definitely wouldn’t include 6 or Warren. Just Ayton + Tyler.

Again funny ... just ask the Pelican fans what they had to give up to get Demarcus Cousins on a one and a half year rental.

Rookie Buddy Hield (#6 pick)
2017 #10 pick
2017 #34 pick
Expiring contracts in Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway

Then look at Kawhi Leonard trade

DeRozan
scrub in Jakob Poeltl
2019 1st round pick #29

So for a one year rental of AD they want

Ayton, Warren, Bridges, Okobo, three firsts, and our second this year

They can pound sand

I doubt Kawhi signs a long term deal in Toronto but u do think there's a chance he does a 1+1 and runs it back one more year. Gasol, Lowery, and ibaka all have 1 year left on their contacts so it does set up where he could want one more run with these guys then he can make his long-term decision the summer of 2020.
