Oh wow ... was that unc talking?
When he didn’t want to hold up the trophy I was like oh he’s not staying lol
Kawhi's sister already debunked this as fake news, with evidence. We had already discussed this on the Raps board and also the Celtics board.
Essentially:
Long story short, she was attending a kid's birthday party she was invited to in LA. Didn't know a lot of people there, but she said on her IG she was surrounded by Raptor haters. That's who said it in the background. Not Uncle Dennis or a member of her family, like the Cult of LA Desperation False Hope would like to believe.
She got mad as **** and immediately shut the fake news down. Check her IG.
There is a thread on the 2nd page of the Raps board showing the evidence to de-bunk the baseless tweet.
The absolute desperation of LA fans is hilarious, though.

While she was debunking things, did she also say Kawhi was staying in Toronto?

She runs all his social media for him, however she doesn't speak for him. But she does like every single #HeStay post across all platforms that various users make, and posts a lot of Raptors positive content. But that's her opinion.
The other thing that is crazy is about how the Lakers Empire twitter account(which is the one spreading the fake news) was making people think that was Uncle Dennis in the background in LA... when he was at the Raptors game himself on the stage. He usually hangs out in Masai's area(the player tunnel area) during the games.

Agreed.
I can't believe the station can't do better than those two. Reggie by himself, I can take. I'm not happy but I can deal. Webber is a clown, always has been.

I'm not too big on Marv. Great at what he does, but he's been taking unnecessary low key jabs at the Knicks ever since he got canned. He needs to stay objective - and drop the pettiness.

Seriously Kawhi is hurt. He's been running with a limp for at least 3 games now. The warriors will take care of these Raptors, but if they don't..... that's like Dirk winning it. If anybody, Kawhi can do it. I thought Lillard too, but well...
Kawhi's drive is something special. It's definitely impressing beyond basketball.

But let's not lie that the Bucks gameplan was to live and die by 3s because "analytics."
And the resting of Giannis in increments was stupid too.
Bud should be blasted for this.
Giannis too.
Neither should walk freely in public
That's what got them this far so they just stayed to their identity. Nothing was saving them other than their guys stepping up and they failed to do say. Raps strategy was the same, pack the paint and cut off Giannis drives, force the other guys to make plays. Problem wasn't Bud, problem was Toronto just had too much size, length, athleticism and Kawhi
true, but being up 15 in the 3rd and letting it all go has something to do with Bud in my eyes.
I care less about sportsmanship, eff that. This was a Bucks choke more than a Raps win tonight.
I think this is the kind of unappreciative post that looks really bad from a distance. Look man, when they were down 0-2 I said I can easily see them winning two at home. I've been saying all season, they've got this one thing that's really special in the league and that's depth defensively. Everybody is good in defense there. Literally. You want to take that win away from them and their defense? 15 points? They've been down 0-2. They're just better.
They'll lose to golden state though. Still nobody is certain because Kawhi has a will power that we cannot estimate or get our head around. I can't. It's frightening.

Commentators. I guess it's a cultural thing. For me: as close to objective as possible is the best.
Breen isn't terrible. Chick Hearn was pretty close to ideal. Marv was close to that. Contrast: Most was worst-ish.

Re: Around the NBA - Blazing into the Conference Finals
The Raptors barely got out of the Philly series with a 70-80% Embidd...Honestly I dont know what to think...They looked terrible in the first two games and then all of a sudden they woke up and won 4 straight...
That draft rubbed me the wrong way...I don't care what anyone says- the odds of two 33 win teams and a 37 win team who happen to be Lebron's lakers and AD's Pelicans jumping 6 and 7 spots took me back to my "the nba is fixed" thinking...
I will give the Raps a ton of credit if the league didnt have their hand in this- they really impressed me. I think Kawhi's energy and leadership willed them to that victory...With that said...I'm going with the Warriors in 6 BUT then again- Maybe Kawhi's brought the
best out of these vets- maybe they pull it off...

He posts here every day with awesome draft insights and inside scoops but the Knicks mods set a filter that only Knicks forum members can read it. Sorry.

He would take low jabs at the Knicks when he was our announcer. That's what I liked about him. When we sucked, he'd call it out. And he did it with a little comedic sense which made it funny. I loved it when Marv and Clyde did the games.
When he was with us , he was more like Clyde- objective (almost to a fault) yet constructive criticism. Since he got canned he made a lot of slick "kickem while they're down" types of comments. Sure Dolan's an azz but the Knicks are bigger than Dolan, and Marv was the voice of those Knicks. Lets see how he acts when we are good again.

This is super cool to read - I've wondered who the Sikh guy throwing the balled up towel in the air during opposing free throws was.

He's been our best player for the past five playoff season (before this one). Even when he struggles shooting, he leaves it all out on the floor and does the little things (i think he's led the league in charges drawn for multiple seasons). He's the heart of the franchise and a lot of the credit for this finals run goes to him.
I can't believe people actually thought Demar was better than Lowry.

Marv is far from "great at his job". Dude routinely messes up players names, often calling out people that weren't even on the floor.
Let's not forget this gem:

Who cares? It's Philly vs. OKC. I mean, I'm not watching that game.

Lowry's got that heart of a lion to go along with his chubby arms and no neck.
