Is there a way that we can sign Irving, Durant and then go over the cap to retain Russell?

Irving/Russell/Levert/Durant/Allen??

Randle would look good in nets uniform. I think we should bag up Randle first. Then make moves to free up cap space if a max free agent wanna come. Even if we don't sign any max FA. Dlo and Randle will be allstars on this team. We could trade our 1st rder to Hawks for Taurean Prince.
Dlo
Harris
Prince
Randle
Allen

with a deeper bench can compete with the best of the East.

yeah trade both din and joe harris.. Which is most likely not happening.

Our best case scenario is to hold dlo's cap hold, sign kyrie, trade Crabbe, Dinwiddie, LeVert, Kurucs 17th pick, 2021 , 2023 first round pick for AD.

Then we can look like:
Kyrie
Dlo
Harris
AD
Allen

New Pelicans GM Trajan Langdon believes his former team - the Brooklyn Nets - are in position to land star players.

Langdon noted that in a conference call on Tuesday to announce his hiring in New Orleans.

He called his time in Brooklyn, where he served as an assistant GM, 'fantastic.'

The easiest way is if we can convince GSW to S&T Durant, taking back Crabbe, Dinwiddie and pick(s). Given that they likely lose KD for nothing, and will be capped out, Dinwiddie and Crabbe would be very good bench additions for them. They don’t have many other options for adding depth.

I like Kyrie, but I just don't know if I can really see him and Dlo meshing all that well. And more so meshing within the system that Kenny has in place.

Sounds legit tbh. we'll see what happens

also, Sean Marks needs to be promoted to POBO. After watching Masai tonight, the Nets need to make some preemptive moves.

Does anyone know happen to know if Sean Marks was heading to England yesterday?

I was on a flight yesterday and as I walk through the end of first class, I see this guy who looks exactly like him. I even muttered very lowly, "Hey, Sean Marks?"

Since he was sitting down, my mind thought "This guy is tall, but he doesn't look Sean Marks tall", so I continued to my seat without trying to establish a conversation.

If that was Marks though, I'll be pissed.

But maybe Kyrie Irving's camp does. Or maybe someone in the Knix or Lakers organization got wind of it and put it out there to give their own front office a kick in the pants to push harder for him before he's Brooklyn bound and gone.

I think Kyrie and likely his family and agent want it to happen more than we want it to happen, but internally we’ve acknowledged that we wouldn’t say no. We’re still in talent acquisition mode. You don’t pass on an all-NBA caliber player. If Kenny can’t make it work, you trade off Kyrie or DLo later and get a Blake Griffin like haul the way the Clippers did.

aren't we hard capped immediately under the new S&T rules?

Hard capped at the luxury tax apron. We’re not getting close to it.

I'm not Irving's biggest fan but if Durant comes here with Irving then screw it.

Irving and Russell in the backcourt is a defensive nightmare but it works in the Nets two ball handler backcourt scheme, we can shift Levert to SF and KD at PF.

They'd still be missing the beef up front unless the plan is for Durant to play power forward.

I'm starting to think it's more likely something like Kyrie and Butler come here with a re-signed D-Lo. We ship out Crabbe with a first round pick to make it happen, also think we'd have to lose Dinwiddie and Harris.

Yup, this is a VERY VERY overstated argument recently on ND. For context, only 4 of 30 teams operated above the apron this season. So the notion that teams can't "afford" to be hard capped and thus S&Ts don't happen no more is quite a false narrative...

Just wondering, would Hawks be interested in Levert+17+27 for their #7 and 10? They get allstar potential SG next to Trey Young and they would fit cuz Trey Young can operate without the ball. We can draft De'Andre Hunter and Rui Hachimura with those Atlanta picks.

Dlo
Harris
Hunter
Hachimura
Allen

Before we sign any free agents.
