The hatred and envy I’m seeing against the Raptors is rather ridiculous. From the RealGM general board, to youtube comments, to social media posts — everything is about how we should enjoy getting swept by the Warriors and how we stand no chance. Where did these haters come from? It’s like people don’t even realize how ecstatic we are to even be in this moment, that just getting to the Finals is a huge achievement, and also the fact that we have been underestimated and overlooked in the Sixers and Bucks series. I can’t believe I’m still seeing many people wishing the Bucks had made it because they would put up a better fight.

We have never been in this position before so it’s really jarring. After all those Craptor years we are so good we’re getting mass hate.

I love it though, I hope the mfers keep that same energy when we win it all.

They are all envious because its been so many years of Warriors vs Lebron in the finals and we're the first team in a long while to break that pattern.

After so many **** years being dogged because we choose to rep Raptors colours, I don't want any love from those miserables ****, because my season is still alive and theirs aint, let them hate from the sidelines.

Will we now see the ABC/espn broadcasts on TV, over the Canadian coverage? When the Game 7 vs Sixers was on ABC it was nice seeing the American coverage instead of our announcers and our athletic production crew with its inane closeups that make you miss 2-3 actual plays per game.

I am talking about cable, I know there are ways to watch online but I don't want that.

Yeah does anyone know the answer to this? Ill be at all the finals home games but want to watch the ABC broadcast for road games.

I told myself the East finals will be my championship lol. Now that we've won I have no pressure and I'm just going to enjoy watching it regardless of what happens in the finals for me.

Happy for Marc Gasol and Lowry! and hopefully we'll see a speedster McCaw facing his former team!

Dirk and I had some great and lengthy back and forths this fall about what we thought happened. A lot of why I loved Burning is how open ended it was but not in a cheap movie way that leaves you unfulfilled. There are many interpretations and they all have enough evidence and reasoning provided within to back it up. Even the director at the Q&A (saw it at TIFF) made it known that it's okay and intended to have different view points.

Spoiler:

I actually prefer to think that only one of those characters existed. A lot of the film to me was both the dichotomy of man and the string theory. When one major event was introduced in this character's life, the choice results in the splitting of himself (when his neighbour and later girl crush he pined over fell in the well.) The one who chose to save her life and the one who didn't split and represented widely different things. One for example had a very strong relationship with his mother, the other very distant. One extremely wealthy while the other struggling to make enough to support his father. One arguably good looking and the other bad/average looking. Even their sets of tools were different (the cinematography is fantastic if you pay attention) One set of tools was made for one who has to work with their hands, hammers, knives etc. while the other was a grooming set. The 'main character' is even on the border of North Korea (you can hear the north korea propaganda in the distance.) To me what reinforces my reasoning for this theory is a great scene towards the end of the film when the two characters are in (unknowing pursuit). Then a wide angle shot overlooking the lake with the sports car (class) separating the two. One the perceived and suspected killer without a care in the world and the other noble sneaking up on the left side of the frame.

Honestly, just happy to be here. But Lowry and Kawhi last night looked absolutely locked in. They are the definition of championship or bust. Golden State has done this before, and before, and before - it Raps take care of their home business, what are the chances we see a complacent GSW? I’m greedy now.. at first I thought I’d be happy with just making the final, now I want the whole damn thing.
