I was at this game. I don't think this Lowry have is FAR off from this. I think this shows this NBA FINALS... Still in awe. Lowry deserves this.

Can we talk gameplans?

Defensively we are going to have our hands full because GSW is a good scoring team both in transition and in the half-court. We eventually sorted out our transition defense against the Bucks, limiting them to 18.8 FBPS after giving up 26.5 FBPS in the first two games. We should be able to get back in transition, although pull up 3s are always a danger. We have been pretty good at taking care of the ball and we commit fewer TOs than GSW. That should help limit transition opportunities as well.

In the half-court the guys you have watch are of course Curry, Klay, and KD if he is playing. What I think will be key is our ability to throw a lot of looks at them defending the P&R. GSW is too good to allow you to rely on only one or two schemes all game. We will need to be creative and aggressive, really mixing it up to keep them on their toes. Fortunately, our defense is ready for that. We can guard them straight up, switch, blitz, trap, hedge, etc. Even toss a zone in there once in awhile to burn some shot clock while they figure out what's in front of them. GSW drives the least in the league by far so we don't have to worry about that too much. It's all about staying with guys, especially off-the-ball, so you can limit and/or contest every shot that Curry, Klay, and KD take. This will have to be a "force other guys to beat you" approach in my mind.

Offensively our bench has woken up, which is huge. Without their scoring, particularly 3 point shooting, we don't beat Milwaukee. They will be a key factor in the Finals. We need Fred and Norm to continue playing solid defense and knocking down open shots (and apparently Fred now makes side step 3s off the dribble :o ). GSW is a good defensive team but I don't see anything that will specifically give us trouble; the Bucks were a great defensive team after all. It'll be interesting to see how well Iguodala can defend Kawhi; I worry a bit because Iggy has great hands swiping at the ball and Kawhi can at times be a bit loose dribbling. Kawhi has been noticeably better as far as looking for teammates when the defense collapses in our wins against the Bucks. It hasn't been a final option when he attacks off the dribble as much, perhaps because with being triple teamed each time there are now 2 open guys and scoring against a triple team is hard even for Kawhi.

I think our defense will make GSW work for their points. So as simple as it is to say, in the end guys just have to make shots.

we got this. after seeing how we scramble and our elite D I think we take this in 6.

giannis caused more problems defensively then i think the warriors will. he totally collapsed the paint and we still ran off the shotters.

warriors cant collapse like giannis can.

So dumb. Kawhi doesn't want to play somewhere he might not be the man. If he plays with KD or Lebron, he is perceived to be #2.

It's a cool stat but some of these don't matter. No one cares that Bogut, Cousins or Livingston were top 5 picks.

Not that I'm there but I'm curious to know if Real Sports is open when the Raps have the day off (no Leafs either) for those who want to buy stuff? Or they only open when there are games at Scotia Bank Arena?

I'm so pumped. I think we're going to win a championship. We beat the analytical darling in the Bucks, the best team in the regular season. Now we have to take the champs.

I think its safe to assume Iguodala will be the primary defender on Kawhi.

Which is a little worrisome, because he's a great 1 on 1 defender and has some of the best hands in the league. High IQ as well

Yea Iggy is a great defender.

Good thing he got tested well by Simmons, Aaron Gordon, and Giannis.

I think he'll be ready. Iggy is on his last legs

I would put Siakam on Curry. Length and athleticism seems to slow him down the most.

Siakam - Curry
Green - Thompson
Kawhi - Green
Lowry - Iggy
Gasol - Cousins

Yeah hopefully. If Not Iggy, it will probably be Green or Thompson.

Though I think Thompson will be easy work for Kawhi.

where do you have Magic or Oscar Robertson?

Magic is 1st, doubt anybody will surpass him. He didn't have the size disadvantage that ultimately plagues every PG, even Curry at times.

I'm biased against older players like Robertson, I can't really rate him. Wilt is the only player from that era that somewhat impresses me, and even in his case, I have my doubts.
