I think Kawhi will be guarding Clay (yep, did that on purpose), Kyle or Danny G on Steph, Pascal on Draymond.

Impeccable drafting and trading and they became one of (if not the) greatest team ever. If not for KD jumping on the bandwagon, THIS franchise is a wonderful story and Stephen Curry is entering GOAT talks. That skinny fool changed the entire narrative here.

I agree with everything you said except the small market part. Oakland is a not a big city but the Warriors represent the entire Bay Area which is a conglomeration of major cities like San Fran & San Jose right next to each other. Kind of like a mini New York city with it's Boroughs.

It just never got the hype because it's a pacific time zone and the team in general has little history before their dynasty.

Welcome back, Milt!

No sure what warranted a 24hr suspension for raining down mad and1's.

Wait, you actually can get a ban for doing a “and 1s”? How’s that possible?

Dont go to the Bucks Board, their Mods have a quick trigger finger, saw guys get banned just for posting well wishes.
At least the Raptor Mods let Antimony go ham on this Board for a while, they give posters a chance to speak at least.

On another note, I didnt want to make a Thread, but Lowry always takes the Game Ball. What do you think he does with all of the Game Balls he collects and why does he do it? lol.

Much of the US media is picking the GSW to win this series...however there are so many small variances in this series that give an advantage to the raptors. Each could be in individually overlooked, but when added up, I do believe it can swing the series to Toronto. I have listed all the net positive events that serve the raptors well:

1) Toronto will have home court advantage (this has never been the case in all previous finals with GSW). How will GSW react? its an unknown

2) Toronto do no have to travel for game 1. GSW must fly and travel here from West to East coast, meaning a time change of 3 hours and adjustment process. Not a meaningless issue for a peak athlete. Warriors players may not adjust properly given the temptations of White Vegas.

3) KD is out (this is a given positive for the raptors)

4) even if KD comes back, he will need possibly 1 game to get back into game shape. He will have been out several weeks, nobody knows his conditioning

5) Demarcus Cousins may return (reports say his conditioning is off). He may need "several" games to get back into game shape. Even if he does return in full force, he may be a defensive liability and negative for GSW. Raptors match up well. I'm not sure Kerr will even play DC given the uncertainty of his game shape and how it will affect the team flow

6) Sweet spot of 5 days off for the raptors: its enough time to rest players like Leonard, but not to lose the momentum that has been built

7) GSW have been off for 7 days, I think this is too much time and enough time for them start a game off rusty

Its only a best of 7. Every game is crucial. Losing a game to get a player back into game shape is huge. I think the raptors defence is better than anything Golden State has ever seen. Lets hope they can keep up the intensity from the previous Bucks and Sixers series.

The Warriors are the favourites, as they should be. But those pundits who keep saying the Warriors will sweep are selling the Raptors short. At least, plenty of Fans recognize that the Raptors could put up a much better fight than these paid Analysts realize, they could make the Series very interesting.

The stars are aligning for the Raptors...if they win game 1 most of the american media will start taking them more seriously.

a lot of players frame their jerseys...it's the same thing with balls & game worn shoes...they keep them for memories..for example in the video below, Booker kept the ball when he scored 70 points (@4:30 mark), and a bunch of other game balls

Return to Toronto Raptors
