Then all we'd have to do is tell him MLSE is going to match every shot he makes with $5,000 donation to some charity.

Yes it's just the regular season, but we've been playing them close for years including sweeping them this year. Time to shock the world.

Fams... I just got back to Canada after spending a week down at disney world for my daughter's bday. Timing for traveling wasnt ideal given my passion for this team, but sometimes life has other things on the agenda. I rocked my Lowry OVO jersey on a couple occasions with pride, especially on Sunday. Mocked a couple of guys in the park wearing 76ers gear, and on Saturday I told a guy wearing a Bucks jersey that his season was ending tonight. I had people from all over the US coming up to me saying they were rooting for the Raps. Not all was friendly though supporting our troops. A kid on Sunday told me "Go Warriors", I told him Raps in 4. Same day we were late for a shuttle bus, and as he was departing I pleaded for the driver to stop. He gestured a motion pointing towards my jersey, and shook his head no.

I tried to plan the entire trip around the playoff schedule much to my family's dismay, except on Saturday I could not get back to the hotel in time and only tuned in with about 5 minutes to go in the 3rd. What a memorable night that turned out to be.

I couldn't help but think of you folks....so many of you that can relate to exactly what I was feeling. To the fans who have endured such pathetic rosters and inept management. From being one of the biggest jokes in the league to being a perennial playoff team, with a few good seasons sprinkled in between. Now we have reached the finals and it still feels a bit surreal.

It's like the beginning of the We the North era, except on steroids. To finally be on the stage with the worlds eyes on us, for a chance to beat the best to become the best. As good as it felt to support the team in foreign territory, I just can't wait to live the moment here back home, with all of you crazy asses. Our time is Now. This is the year of destiny, of dinosaur championship time destiny. We WILL beat GS, and spread the shambles across the entire NBA world who refuses to believe in the Toronto Raptors.

Time to get it boys....time to bring that trophy home to The NORTH!

The Warriors are a finesse team. They are rusty, out of shape and injured. If we rough them up (as Jack loves to say "hand to hand combat"), be very physical with them, and hit our shots while Kawhi is doing his thing... we will win.

We have the best player, better bench, and tougher players.

Raptors in 6 again. The Raptors will be our 2019 NBA Champions. Quote me.

Thought this was pretty cool interview with Steph talking about his time in Toronto when he was in 6th-8th grade (obviously it gets talked about every time he visits, but he said it hasn't sunk in that they are playing them in the Finals now)

When last has a team lied about a major injury?

I want KD and Cousins back healthy. I want us to beat them at their best, so that there are no excuses. None of that, "the Warriors were missing KD" or "KD was rusty" crap.
I acknowledge and thank the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples of the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations for allowing me to live, work and play on their unceded traditional territories.

I could honestly care less, there's a caveat in every championship. It's not our problem that their key players are injured. Believe me they wouldn't care if they're hoisting up the trophy and Lowry / Gasol were out.

GSW have benefited greatly over the years from other teams injuries

Yep.. and history doesn't put an asterisk around your championship, people now will just count how many they've won, not how they won them.

Do it! Game 1, aside from if we get to play an elimination game, will be the most hype Raptors game ever, and will never be surpassed I'd think.

I'm not sure about that. It depends on the person's situation. If they're swimming in debt and borrowing from cash money just to go to a Raptors finals game then it's not a good idea.

i don't care what anyone tells me, 1300 is your plane ticket(s), nothing beats the feeling of hopping on a plane and going to a new country.

1300 for 3 hours...ehhh i love toronto sports but not that much. jurasssic park would probably be a great substitute.
Google "Hind Rajab"
Total Killed by Israel = 50,000+
Israel kills a child every 45 minutes and ban aid workers from bringing in baby formula
Total being starved by Israel = 500,000 -1,000,000

They're the best team in the league even without those 2. Beating them is still a huge accomplishment.

I'd say it's worth it. You can visit that country whenever you want. It's not going anywhere. Watching an NBA finals could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Return to Toronto Raptors
