Only trade id ever consider would be something like felicio and Dunn, we absorb the salary. And we take back Paul and 3 first round picks

+1...he's due $40M per year for 3 more seasons. That said, I'd do your deal with only 2 1st rounders.

Put it this way - I'd rather absorb Paul into cap space and send Houston Felicio and Dunn than trade #7 (and maybe more) for Conley. (Although I'd rather trade Conley into cap space than Paul). While he's a cap albatross, he can still play and facilitate for the younger players.

#7 on White and trade Felicio+Dunn for Paul (no clue if that works capwise). Then you can run out:
PG: Paul, White
SG: Lavine, Denzel
SF: Otto, Hutch
PF: Lauri, ???
C: WCJ, Lauri

Need reserve big, maybe bring back Rolo cheap or use 2d rounder on a big who falls (or Tacko Fall who is intriguing in terms of defensive upside if he can stay on the floor).

CP3 fell off a relative cliff this year. Lowest PER, BPM and WS/48 of his career. That's a scary look for a 34yo with 3 years 120M remaining on his contract. Not worth the risk.

Chris Paul is one of my least favorite players in the NBA. Can't stand him. 3 years should come with 3 first rounders just to ease the suffering of having him decline massively on his last legs.

And they would need to take Dunn Felicio and Blakeney back.

Wouldnt be surprised by a Chris Paul to Bulls trade. We know the Bulls and Rockets have a good relationship in making salary cap dump trades :D

Paul just turned 34 and has 3 years and +$12OM left on his contract. Why would anyone on this forum want him? How does he fit our timeline in the slightest? Would he even WANT to be here?

Chris Paul is intriguing. He made Tyson Chandler look great in NOLA and made D. Jordan look amazing in LA. The combo of Chris Paul and Harden made Capala look like a beast. Chris Paul is the pass first PG that everyone wanted from Morant and L. Ball. Chris Paul could do wonders for WCJ offensive game. Maybe Lauri too.

Would you rather have Beverley at 10-15 million or Chris Paul at 40 million? I think most ppl are choosing the cheaper option. Houston taking Dunn, Felicio, Blakeney and giving us a couple 1st makes you at least pause to think about it. If we hit a homerun on our draft picks, get some quality vets to sign for the mle/min and stay healthy we'd look really good.

I'd take him for the Rockets' 2020, 2021 and 2022 1st round picks.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Seeing

Chris Paul and picks

For lauri , dunn , and felicio.

Would absolutely abhor this deal. Almost more than I hate dealing the 7th for lonzo "crooked letter form" ball.

This off season is about to suck.

That's Houston's fault for giving him all that money. But also think they're smart enough to know that his contract is virtually untradeable

Bulls shoud have zero interest in Chris Paul. One of the worst contracts in the NBA.

I need to stop reading this topic. The ideas are so bad(for the Bulls) that they legitimately annoy me.

I think the short of it is that:
1) It is unlikely the Bulls will trade Zach, Lauri, Otto or WCJ
2) There is virtually no market interest in anyone else on the roster.
3) #7 doesn't seem to exciting enough to bring back a good enough player that fits our PG needs

Chris Paul is going to the Lakers if he gets traded. If I'm the Bulls I'd try to get in on that deal.

Lakers get: Chris Paul
Houston Gets: Lakers 1st & Bulls 1st.
Bulls Get: Lonzo

Lakers get to try to win with CP3, LeBron, Ingram, Kuzma, Wagner, Hart & whatever players want to try to join to win a ring.

Houston does it because they can draft some young talent to put around Harden that can hopefully stay healthy. Just imagine DeAndre Hunter and either Coby White or Garland on this team.

Bulls do it because maybe Lonzo can be a superstar.

I'd take him for the Rockets' 2020, 2021 and 2022 1st round picks.

Would have to be 20, 22, 24 assuming all of those picks are available.

Would we even be able to absorb Paul's salary with our capspace if we're sending out Felicio? Might as well keep Dunn since Paul will miss at least 20-30 games.

Houston is going to have to tack on 1sts to dump Paul. He is a year or so away to being Carmelo useless and will be paid $40m per year for it.

Return to Chicago Bulls
