Speaking of which, i need to update the list and rank of players and update the mock.

For top 15, here is the prospects i am hearing are of interest

Pels Zion, R.J and Ja. Zion near lock.

Grizz Ja and Zion Ja near lock

Knicks Ja Culver R.J. Cam Hunter. Culver 55 over 45 R.J. but R.J. is a near lock to be 3rd overall

Lakers Hunter Garland. 60 to 40 Garland. AD trade means Hunter near lock for Pels

Cavs Culver Hunter White Cam Culver near lock

Suns White Clarke Rui Sekou. White near lock

Bulls Garland Cam Sekou THT Hunter. Garland near lock but if gone, toss up

Hawks Cam Hunter Little Hayes Goga Sekou Culver. Wing near lock

Wizards Hunter Cam Little Hayes Goga Bol THT KPJ White Garland Toss up

Hawks whoever is left from 8 is a near lock

Wolves Rui is a near lock

Hornets Bol Sekou Goga Little Langford Okpala THT KPJ Rui. Rui would be a near lock if available but toss up

Heat They going with the most upsides

Celtics They going with the most upsides

The end

I like the Hawks in this scenario minus Little and Goga. What if Goga is more of a Bargnani than like I guess what people are using their imaginations to compare to a poor man’s Joker? Granted Bargnani came to the NBA in the wrong era. Right now he’d be making loot. I personally wouldn’t use the 8th pick on Goga but I need more study on this cat. Everyone else is legit.

I’m open to trading down to get the right guy too. Kabs I’m hoping or Bruno for the Hazer. In Schlenk we trust...for now.

Goga is a name that people been putting to them. I haven't directly heard he is a target, just that some scouts liked him as well as Jeff who is now gone.

I rather just go by what Travis likes which is all of the listed wings and Hayes. Honestly, I haven't heard much about Goga with my contacts but Jeff liked him but he's gone.

You should check out Little. He translates well. He can be better long term than Brown

King Ken, any of your contacts know if the Hawks have shown any sort of intrigue/interest in KPJ?

I haven't heard his name. Then again, I haven't hear Clarke name in awhile and I would imagine he still in the mix

I am ecstatic to hear this news. This young man was atop my big board in pre-season. He had a rough go at Kansas, though.
He still has a chance to develop into a solid NBA player. He just needs to find the right school/coaching staff.

Transferring to Houston seems like a perfect fit.

Do I doubt you heard it, specially from scrub fans rumors circulating, no I don’t. Do I call complete and utter bs as far as this having any legs to it, yes I do.

Kawhi is the walrus. He is the alpha. Kevin Durant couldn’t reach the finals by himself and obviously knew he would never get their without other superstars around him. Kawhi doesn’t even have an all star (Kyle Lowry maaaybe) around him and he reached the finals. The absolute last thing he wants to do now is join forces with the Warriors. You can bookmark this, highlight it, whatever. Kawhi is either a Raptor or one of the teams in LA (Clipps most likely because the Lakers are the old Clippers now and their front office sucks).

He wants Golden State. That's what he wants. These are his people too.

Ok we shall see on June 30th at 3:00 pst!

Yeah, I’m just not buying Kawhi to The Curriers. He’ll stay with The Raps or sign with The Clips. Where he can be The Alpha himself, carrying his team to The Finals. As it should be...

2019 NBA Draft scouting report: Bruno Fernando

Image

When it comes to NBA prospects, there is no doubt that Fernando passes the eye test. Even at the age of 20, he is big, strong and lean with an NBA ready body. At the Combine, he measured 6’10.25 (with shoes) with a wing span of 7’3.25. He weighed in at 237 pounds with a body fat of 5.4%. He possesses a relatively rare combination of size, length and athleticism.

For a youthful center at his size, he moves and covers space very well. Much of Fernando’s offensive game is played above the rim. He can catch and finish at the rim, even in traffic. He is also is very comfortable in alley-oop plays coming out of pick-and-roll action.

He is a willing passer who can find open players when he’s working in the post or attacking off the dribble. In his second year of college basketball, Fernando dished out 2.0 assists per game, an impressive number of a player of his profile and role. However, he also led his team in turnovers (2.8 per game), an even rarer feat for a player of his profile and role.

Fernando has a tendency to be error-prone, as he sometimes relies too much on his size and athleticism and less on discipline and court awareness. As a freshman, he consistently struggled with foul trouble, but he did improve dramatically in this area as a sophomore.

NBA talent evaluators are certainly trying to assess how Fernando projects as a shooter. The biggest mark in his favor as a shooter is the solid free throw shooting he provided the Terps. After shooting 74.0% as a freshman, he improved 77.9% as a sophomore on 4.3 attempts per game.

Perhaps, Montrezl Harrell is a worthy comparison for Fernando. The comparison to Harrell has some legitimate threads. However, it should also be noted that Fernando enters the league as a younger, bigger player with a much better foundation as a shooter when compared to the Clippers big man.

An investment in Fernando would require development on both ends of the floor, but if the Hawks focus on the guard and wing spots with the No. 8 and No. 10 picks in the first round, the big young man from Angola might be just the fit for the Hawks in the second round if, by chance, he slips to No. 35 overall.

I don’t get how people think Bruno is really dropping out of the lottery. The Lakers may even draft him if they can’t pull off an AD trade. He’s a cut above Goga, Hayes, and Kabengele in my eyes.

Is it me or does it kinda feel like Reddish will land with WAS? Seems to fit what ... ever it is they've got going on up there.

Clear talent, questionable effort. The 'Zards way?

Interesting if we passed him up at 8. I love everything about him except his demeanor which I can’t ignore. I want a pitbull. Is he a chihuahua? Hell I’d take a chihuahua, he might be a poodle  chihuahua’s fight like dirty dogs in the street! Lotta heart.

While that does feel like a worthy addition to that team of heartless wing players.

I can't see Reddish falling to the Wizards.

Mainly, because i think Travis would jump at the chance to grab him at #8.

Only way I see C Reddish available at #9 is if we trade up to grab Culver.

NOTE: It's really difficult to know what WAS will do. Does that franchise even have a new PBO/GM yet?

I don't want any kind of dog. Dogs eat their own poop. Dumb. Cats are worse.

Anyway, I heard notorious Duke apologist Chris Spatola on the NBARadio draft show. He spoke less than glowingly of Reddish's approach, attitude, work ethic, etc. The talent is there, the 'want-to' simply is not.

Could we coax it out of him? Sure, but do we want to spend time on it considering there could be comparable guys ready to step in now and work?

Legit questions. I could see him going to WAS and becoming the next Kelly WhOubre. *yawn*

Just give me Culver and Goga and I'm good.
