He definitely dumped IT. Not saying he was neccesarily wrong, but there is a reputation that comes with that. I see Wyc Grousbeck saying all the time that Danny would put his mother in a trade. I don't think that's the way to cultivate the image of the organisation.

Would be shocked if Danny moved Gordon. Like, flabbergasted.

Danny would move his son to the Kings if it helped the Celtics win. Not all trades of hayward help us win. Maybe we have to give up too many assets to just dump him or other teams won't take him. Maybe we can get more if we give him a year like PG13 to get back to form.

Make no mistake, if he can trade Hayward and picks for an all star this offseason, you can bet it will be done.

Sure. Hayward and picks for AD. But if you're being realistic, there isn't a legit scenario Danny could/would trade Hayward for.

What playoff team is sending us their all star in return for 30+ mil of Hayward? The IT situation was completely different.

if you do a 3 or 4 way trade with enough salary, you can do a lot more things. Sometimes nothing.

I commented on this on the GB, but I thought I'd run it by here as well. What are people's thoughts on a Gordon Hayward for Kevin Love type of trade? Both players seem to have large contracts that most people would consider untouchable. First of all, would it work logistically? I'm not really sure of the size / duration of each contract. Secondly, would Kevin Love fit better on this C's roster than Hayward does?
Both players have been really good in the past. Both players have dealt with rather large injuries. Both players could have very productive years ahead.
Would this be a trade that you would like to see? Or would you rather stick with Hayward, and hope that he has a Damian Lilard type of recovery?

Tatum for Simmons is definitely something I would do if such trade appeared on the table. Tatum can't play PF at all and I would rather see Hayward as our starting SF next year. Simmons would fit right in at that PF spot. He can't shoot but can do everything else at close to elite level. Playing without a ball-dominant center who doesn't stretch the floor well could help Simmons a lot. But I doubt Sixers would consider such a swap.

Love's contract has like 4 more years on it and the guy is 33 years old with a decent amount of injuries in his day. Hayward has next season and an opt out after that. I don't think Ainge trades Hayward unless it makes the team better. I actually hope Hayward stays and proves everybody wrong, which to me is very likely.

Hayward/Tatum/#14/#20/#22/Memphis pick to Houston for Harden/Tucker

Re-Sign Kyrie/Horford restructures

Baynes opts in

Resign Marcus Morris

sign vet guard

Kyrie-Harden-Brown-Tucker-Horford
Vet-Smart-Semi-Morris-Baynes

Banner 18

that team has it all. star power, perimeter D, interior D, toughness, finesse, etc.

maybe.....just maybe Durant would want to come here too...Horford to GS for Durant. Horford would be better than losing KD for nothing. Curry-Klay-Green-Horford is very nice

Kyrie-Harden-Durant-Tucker-Baynes
vet-Smart-Brown-Morris-Williams

okay, I'm sorry. my mind is going to go wild waiting on the draft and free agency

I hope we can score 140 points per game with a Kyrie and Harden backcourt because we would most likely be the worst defense in the league. We saw with IT, then Larkin to an extent and even Rozier in 17/18 that it's tough to hide bad defensive players. Especially with Brad's switch everything defense.

maybe let Kyrie walk. hope for the Horford to GS for Durant trade if Durant says he's out of GS. reunite Harden/Durant.

sign Beverly to reunite with Harden as well.

Laughable that fans, some Celtics fans wouldn't want James Harden on the Celtics. If star players like Anthony Davis, James Harden, Giannis, Kawhi, Kevin Durant etc ever become available, you go after them. The NBA is a stars league. You need them in order to win.

This is killing me.
The rampant Rumors alone. But, the waiting too. It's all quiet on the Front.

If Jaylen's dribble becomes above average, he has superstar potential.

Why didn't he do that when he had an NBA player on him?

Ainge would deal him and picks for KD. Trade makes sense for all parties except KD/Kyrie who I suspect want to go to NY/LA/maybe stay with Warriors.

It would be a mistake but I could see Ainge trying to trade Hayward plus picks for Beal if the Celtics get AD and Irving leaves. It would probably be a 3 team deal involving a team like Portland. I strongly believe mistake since I think fans overrate PPG when it is not at an elite efficiency with truly superior floor spacing for the position and underrate defense.
