The McCollum and Winslow years aren't looking so badsky.

I would never even think of trading down if Doncic (who I had as the clear #1) or Embiid were an option.

I live in the Memphis area. And most people are warming up to RJ. I'm calling it now, Memphis will draft RJ... :(

Maybe trading down is backup plan to Memphis taking RJ lol if they are committed to DSJ

I frequently look back at old draft threads. Lotta bums are hyped up.

Agreed

The trade down tactic is a good one in many drafts but in this one imo RJ is just much better than anyone you are getting at 8. And 10 doesn’t make enough of a difference

So say Grizzlies take RJ at #2. Knicks plan to keep DSjr and also sign Kemba or KI. No room for JA. What can you get from the Suns? #6 and what else?

%99 of the draft picks are meaningless anyway real difference makers in the NBA are like 2-3 guys

RJ wanting NY. Declining workouts with Memphis. Knick fans getting excited about RJ. This has Memphis drafting RJ at #2 written all over it.

Declining Memphis invitation is just going to make them want him more.

It's going to be a punch in the gut when RJ is called at #2.

that's such a dumb tweet. you have to look at the actual players involved.

RJ in most years is a #8 pick.

This is what I think the plan is, especially if they get Kemba or KI.

I agree that the tweet is dumb in the sense that it is binding a bunch of teams' decision making to the pick slot, which is fallacious.

If everyone trusts Pills, they should trust that those guys will make better picks in those spots.

ironically, at #6 i'm taking garland like a MF if he's there. the "what else" makes the difference. and, no. not josh jackson. yikes. boy throwed.

i'm not passing on BPA regardless of position. DSJ, frank, trier, etc. aren't going to make me pass on ja. and if garland is there at #6, i'm taking him over the other guys i expect to still be on the board.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

That's pretty close. KP potential still higher but that's two good players there. It's a matter of the draft and who you like.

BAF code of silence makes it difficult but there's one guy I think should be considered top 5 that should be available 8-10 and some others guys I think will be decent. I would consider the move.
