The problem with Zach as a lead guard has never been his ability to score but can you build an efficient offense out of that because by he’s not really creating or running a high value offense when he does it. He’s not James Harden in terms of value and production so asking him to do that is really weird.

It’s why I like Garland or a PG of that level because it’s not as if the Bulls need someone to constantly have the ball in their hand but they do need someone who can handle a fairly decent portion of initiating half-court offense either as the primary ball handler or the secondary action.

This sh*t is diabolical.

He strained his groin during his pro day, so this may be an entirely different injury from the one he played with during the season. Or maybe it’s the same injury. Who knows? The mystery of Cam continues.

Exactly. I think Lavine as a lead guard next to a PG that is a 3pt threat, can get their own shot, and knows how to play off ball is what would make Zach even better.

Due to Reddish constantly getting knocked off balance and overall weak moves as far as getting to the hole, I just assumed his core strength was absolute poop. This makes some sense now. Obviously we cant just completely throw out his poor play but him playing with nagging injuries the entire year and trying to gut it out because he wants to be one and done is a recipe for failure.

This also seems to rule him out for summer league which is a major bummer.

But wouldn’t the idea be to put Zach next to someone with a higher b-ball IQ? I have no gauge on Garland as a decision maker, but analysts I trust, like The Stepien’s Cole Zwicker, say he misses a lot of basic reads in the pick and roll, which is something his negative A:TO backs up.

I would trade up to 3 and draft garland not Barrett. I would probably consider garland at 2. I think he is going to be that good, I also think whatever team trades for unibrow will never be a title contender. He is like Kevin Garnett. The only way he gets a title is if paired with a Ray Allen, Paul pierce and rondo pre Acl.
We have Martell Webster. He's called Kyle Korver here, and we shall love him and squeeze him and call him Ashton. -BrooklynBulls

Bad play mixed with injury affects his stock somewhat.
While he has upside, the warning signs are beginning to outweigh it.

Either way guess it makes the decision at 7 easier.

But but that stroke looked so smooth in that empty gym.

Ugh. As one of Reddish's supporters, his nagging injuries are starting to become worrisome.

Why do I get the feeling that Cam Reddish got a promise? Am I being a conspiracy theorist?

I'm not completely out on Reddish. I think, in particular, if he finds the right situation, he can be a very solid player. And there are these excuses floating out there about his play this past season, whether it be injuries like above or something else, which may or may not be completely meritless, but they're not something I'm banking on if I'm a smart GM. You definitely would have to do your due diligence and find out as much as you can though.

I can see a scenario where I'm okay with Reddish being the pick, but if there's guys like Hunter, Culver or Garland on the board that have potential but are infinitely more proven, I'd be pretty annoyed.

His camp would’ve just said he had a promise and shut it down in that case.

Aren't they theoretically shutting it down with that news?

I'm wondering if he had some bad private workouts.

Maybe he was always going to get this surgery, but after he had some bad workouts, they decide to do the surgery now to make it look like an excuse.

I think Little's shot will be better than it was at UNC. But my concern is the feel/decision making/awareness aspect to his game. Needs to get back to his old playing frame as well, he overbulked and it hurt his athleticism.

Trade the pick for Ball if theres not Hunter, Culver, Garland. No need to risk on tier 3 prospects in Reddish unless you can trade down for #8 and #10.
