Knicks haven't had their top 3 pick in over 30 years! They need to stop playing around with my emotions and take RJ or Ja.

Re: Draft Thread 2: The Electric Draftaloo
I think you only move RJ if you can trade down and can get a good future pick. That means the CAV's are the only option imo. RJ with ATL's core will winning more often than not down the line.
RJ for #5, CLE 2020 First if pick falls between 5-10 (If not, CLE 2021 unprotected & a couple of seconds).
Pretty much the Luka/Trae trade 2.0.

Well technically we had a #2 pick but that was traded for Eddy Curry, and turned out to be Lamarcus Aldridge.

5, 12 and 2020 Cavs 1st to New York
3 and Marvin Williams to Cleveland
JR Smith to Charlotte
Charlotte sheds Williams salary at cost of 12.
Knicks get premo package.
Cavs get their guy
Knicks get 3 picks

That’s only a good trade if we strike out in free agency

If we strike Gold in F.A then we have more future assets to upgrade the team around them.

The more I evaluate the more I think RJ just might be the 'Luka' of this draft, that play making and creating wing which is valuable in the modern NBA who is much more mature than their age indicates.
As long as the Knicks don't get 'Curry'd'......again.

The Cavs? Assets? What assets. 5 and 26? They'd have to throw in a future unprotected pick.
They own their 1st next year if it falls 1-10. I'd be extremely interested if they gave it up with the 5th.
Dont believe that pick can be dealt to us, we fall to the back of the line pick wise.

RJ declining a private workout with the Grizzlies certainly helps.

Curry did the same with Golden state, just saying.
Only difference is that we don't have a dumb ass minnesota team wasting draft picks on a certain position.

LMFAO...all we give up is a #3 pick, and we get 5, 12, and another potential top 5 pick?

only sticking point is NO’s evaluation of rj as a trade asset. it prob isnt that high given griffin is in charge.
Dude, how bout you knock off the steady stream of RJ negativity? I know I'm sick of it and I'm sure many others, too. You're no scout.

Ja Morant would be a nice consolation prize if it came to that though.

Imagine the Morant vs Garland fights if it looked like RJ was going 2

Cavs should be willing to give 2020 first round pick 1-10 or no deal.
