Kelly is still growing as a player guys, I mean look what he did once he got away from wall and beal. I see no reason why Kelly can't take another step and add more consistency to his game. He also said he wants to improve on sharing the ball....how often do you hear that?!

Yeah, but would you pay him $80M/4 years?

It is gonna be interesting to see if he gets a big offer or not in FA.

I'm not saying pay him by any means necessary. I wouldn't give him 20 a year if someone came in and offered it. I'm hoping 13-15 a year...17 is probably where I would draw the line but I don't see him getting that.

Trade the 6th pick, Tyler Johnson, Josh Jackson, Bucks pick for Jrue Holiday. Use the MLE to sign Julius Randle. Keep Oubre.

Jrue / Book / KO / Warren / Ayton + Bridges/Randle/Okobo

I would love that.

No way Randle comes to us for the MLE. He's coming off a career year and is going to be looking at Oubre money or better. MLE is like 10M. He's going to command closer to 20m. I'd love for it to happen, but it wont at that price point.

As a reference, Gambo said yesterday that people around the league expect Randle will get a contract in the $12M -$14M range.

Randle's fit on the Suns is not perfect, but he is a good player entering his prime. How many good players want to play for the Suns?

Some players who probably are a better fit (like Thad Young or Aminu) probably do not want to play for us and they are older so they prefer to play for contenders or just play for us if we overpay them (Ariza).

Dont get me wrong, I want him here. I just think his market is going to quickly become inflated.

You also can't underestimate the culture fit. He has been such a positive force on our locker room and our team. Our best players like him and like playing with him. He brings energy and hustle. It aint all about the stat sheet. If Jared Dudley can get 10/Season to be a locker room presence, decent defender and ok shooter, Oubre should be able to get 15m/season easy.

My range for Oubre is 52-55/4. But the Suns can talk to other free agents and maybe a player comparable takes the 50/4 if Oubre is wanting to much. Granted they Key with Oubre is going over the cap

Boy

I haven’t seen many realistic proposals that teet the totter....
I’m a crazy, but I’d rather just keep TJ at PF and let him Bomb away. I look for him to come out of his Basketball Lab with another 10 lbs and a renewed vigor on D. He’s 20 in the bank with 5-7 rbs.... is Randle or(?) that much better?

Same theory applies with TJo... can we get a significant upgrade w/o giving him up?
What ? Me Worry ?

Read on Twitter

I like Oubre, but no way should Suns pay 15+ million unless it's on a short contract and we want salary filler in a future major trade.

If we want him to start until we get better talent (then move him to the bench), I would offer something in the neighborhood of $12 million per year but on a longer contract.

Aminu ? What exactly people see in this player to consider him an answer at PF ? I haven't watched many games of the Blazers, never made any impression to me when I did. His stats are the definition of a below average player. His measurements are of a twiner, basically a similar player to Ariza, despite 100% sure not that good. So, how can anyone consider him an answer at PF ?

He’s not an answer. He’s garbage. If he played for the suns last year everyone would be asking to trade or waive him. His deficiencies, which he has many of, are hidden by the star prowess of lillard and CJ.

Exactly. Looks like the expectations of many Suns fans have reached rock bottom.

Warren and Jackson are both just limited. I see Oubre as a jack of all trades and could potentially be a one or two time all-star in his career.

The funny thing is that TJ reminds of a Marion on the offensive end with a better jump shot. TJ always makes some unorthodox shots

I want Randle and Warren. Randle as the starter and Warren as the off the bench scorer. TJo....I think it just depends on what else we could do with his salary cap number. If a trade or FA presents itself where that 19M could be better served....Gotta move on from him.

For example, if Brooklyn goes the Kyrie super team route, imagine a deal of TJo+JJ+Bucks Pick+Suns 2020 1st in a S&T for DLO.

Why does Brooklyn do that you ask? Because of the flexibility it gives them to build around their newly signed star FAs. They'd have a wealth of draft picks to bring in more talent AND They'd have cap relief coming in 2020 which could make them players in the FA market that summer as well. OR they could package an expiring of TJo, and the picks and maybe get another really good piece for their team.

Sign and trade with Warren and Milwaukee pick, that could work for the Pelicans and their rebuild.

Brooklyn can't sign 2 max FAs and do a sign and trade (or keep DLo) it's not possible cap wise.

He's a top 25 defender in the whole league when you factor in versitlity and defensive IQ. He's also a low usage guy who can help you win without needing touches (something you need when you have high usage guys like Booker and Ayton and even Oubre). Great locker room leader.

If you want to build a fantasy basketball team then you get a PPG guy like Randle. If you want to actually win real nba games you get a player like Aminu.

Guys like him and harkless do the dirty work and actually hide the issues Lillard and CJ have on D.
