Re: 2019 Draft Discussion
Maybe I get my wish...
Bridges is barely 21 and nas is 19. You always need solid versital forwards. These 2 can both d up, are athletes through and through, and have potential in their shot and ball handling... Lock your young forwards up early and go from there. Why not? The league isnt ran by big dudes anymore its ran by 6'6 to 6'10 athletes.

I don’t know what’s worse, draft prospects sessions against air defending them or high school seniors ball is life mix tapes? They are both equally useful/useless.

Seems par for the course.
Did you see the video of Little also not hustling, or are you looking past that because he's a Tar Heel?

Re: 2019 Draft Discussion
Looked at some of the incoming freshmen for the 2020 draft and ESPN has 3 centers in the top 6 players. This makes me want to pivot off a big man this draft and grab one in 2020 if we are losing Kemba. Then the 2021 draft looks to be loaded with forwards. So, I'd like for us to get a SG this draft. Really like Alexander-Walker or Herro, but think we could trade back instead of reaching at 12.
Needless to say, it would really help if Kemba let's us know his plan before the draft.

The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

He did seem surprisingly nonchalant to me as well, but we have no context and he may just have been warming upeuphorbus wrote:taj2133 wrote:

Back on pg 25 of this thread in my post about guys I'd seen in games this year I wrote that in the tourney loss to Duke NAW seemed to shirk and hide in the second half when the game got tight; He seemed oddly non-chalant given the game context! Now that I've read more about him it seems more likely that while he has desirable size and skillset - including being ambidextrous - he lacks explosiveness and athleticism needed to blow by defenders or impose his will on the game. He might bring some of what Brogdon gives MIL, but Brogdon outweighs him by 30 lbs. I think he's going to be a solid piece, but not a potential Lead Guard/All Star like his more Alpha-male cousin SGA

This is the only one I saw, but it was really surprising. The guy treats it like an interview at Dairy Queen. And he is certainly not the only one.

I want Grant Williams, Jordan Bone, and Admiral Schofield. Williams has super high bbiq, is unselfish and efficient on offense. Bone is a flash on the level of AI. Admiral bring physical play and toughness. All high character guys that are going to improve.

Re: 2019 Draft Discussion
If we keep all of our picks right now... I would be happy with these guys.
12- PJ Washington, Nasir Little, Cam Reddish
36- Isiah Roby, Bruno Fernando, Daniel Gafford,
52- Jontay Porter, Jordan Bone, Terrance Mann

Honestly I’d be happy with most of those. PJ is ideal and really reminds me of Paul Milsap. Bruno and or Jontay in the 2nd would be great, but I don’t think Bruno makes it past the Warriors pick.

Re: 2019 Draft Discussion
There really isn't anyone in our range that I'm super excited about or against. Just a lot of guys that I'm alright with.
If I had to pick one player, I think Kevin Porter Jr. might be my guy. IMO he has the potential to become a rich man's Jeremy Lamb.

Re: 2019 Draft Discussion
If Kemba is staying this pick will likely be traded, but if not I really like Alexander-Walker. He's smart, skilled, and a good defender. And Buzz Williams players have a great track record in the NBA.

The problem is there's definitely a real chance that on draft night we still won't know Kemba's intentions.

I think we keep the pick if Kemba stays. We'll have to be smart with how we spend our money and the best bargain in the NBA is a good player on a rookie contract.

That's the move to make if the team wants to stay in the 7 to 11 seed range for the rest of Kemba's time as a Hornet.
