This show has me heated bro. I'm going to watch the rest during the week so as not to ruin my weekend. Excellent but infuriating.

I swear I'm trying to get a comedy to jump off. It's hard out here, man!

I saw Booksmart with my wife today and it was legitimately a great movie. Very funny and also very real with the two leads both acting their asses off the whole way through. Olivia Wilde did an amazing job directing this movie and I just wish it had gotten more attention. I see a strong post theater performance for this movie over the next few years and I strongly suggest you throw some money down on this movie if you have the chance.

It’s at the top of my list, but I know the story really well and I’m not ready to be super pissed off yet this weekend. There’s going to be some Abducted In Plain Sight level frustration with this and my heart can’t handle it at the moment.

The creative people behind the show don't speak Russian. I can't imagine trying to create a show in a language you don't understand. If you replace the creative team, you are talking about a completely different show.

You guys are giving me reasons, and that's fine, but I'm just telling you that I find it awkward to watch as I think it inhibits the authenticity of the viewing experience for me. That doesn't have anything to do with the rationale for doing so - which makes sense to me.

Anyway, I'm caught up and it's really visceral. I found myself getting queasy watching some of those scenes. Also, Stellan Skarsgård is amazing.

It was a bit weird to me at first but after the first 5 minutes I had completely forgotten about the accents.
Until the coal miner from Tula, Russia, with the heavy Scottish accent showed up LOL

That's all details though, the thing that really got me was how outrageous the actual reality was. There are historical facts in that story that if it was fiction people would immediately dismiss it as crazy or extreme. Like the fact that there are people alive today who were operating a nuclear reactor that exploded, and after the explosion they just stayed and **** around in that building for hours without any protection, and somehow lived to talk about it 30 years later.

Saw the new Godzilla movie. If you need a strong human element in a monster you're going to be disappointed.

If you just want to see Godzilla fighting monsters you're going to love it

Mike, I started When They See Us. I watch TV very slowly, but hoping to finish within the week. I know very little about this case - just so angry, and I'm guessing it will get worse.

One of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. Great acting, direction, soundtrack. Thematically it hit so many different notes.

It was like the greatest John Hughes movie ever. But it’s own thing. Super impressed. Can’t stop thinking about it.

I've only read one review of Booksmart and it was a negative one. Huh.

Isn't that a hint you shouldn't just read one review? It is currently at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes with 251 reviews. Which review did you read?

I only read a couple review sites for movies and I admittedly disagree with this guy a lot.

Olivia Wilde’s Directorial Debut, ‘Booksmart,’ Aches To Be Something Its Not.

I'm gonna see it, I'm sure. But I follow a lot of the people who made the movie on Twitter and there's something that nags me a bit when a whole lot of rich white people pop up to shower praise on a movie that seems like it's tailor made for them and their sensibilities.

Also, Superbad sucked.

ETA: I'll probably like it because I like the girl from Justified. She rules.

I'm about to log a ton of hours on a few flights over the next couple of weeks and already have When They See Us downloaded and ready to watch.

It’s a consciously evolved coming of age story for this generation of teens. Imagine seeing the ‘the sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, waistoids, dweebies, dickheads’ first emotionally and then without judgement; just as they are. That’s what this movie attempts to do and succeeds in doing in my opinion. Any movie that can grab 3-4 emotions from me is a success. I laughed, cried, and learned a lot.

Plus the soundtrack and score (Dan the Automator) are dope.

not sure why you need to speak Russian, it wasn't an overnight production of something HBO setout to produce for a yearly anniversary. the man behind it has been working on it for close to half a decade to make sure every detail is correct. If anything for some of the details he left out as it was too gory and hbo nixxed it.

On the podcast they talk about the soldiers/boys who were in charge of shooting and killing pets- since they were contaminated. There was a scene- that they decided to delete where they ran out of bullets and one of the dogs were still alive.

The deadwood movie was nice- I thought it was a bit too much of trying to get every character they could stories wrapped up- and what they did to Al i have mixed opinions about. He was a pretty damn evil man- and they tried to make him seem like a savior. Maybe if we got a full season 4- we would of gotten a flash back i would of loved to seen how Jewel/Al first came together. IF al went out of his way to 'rescue' Jewel. Its too bad the actor that played Richardson had past- I would of liked if they at least mentioned it. He was one of my favorite characters

Echoing everyone else but When The See Us is really good and really infuriating. Wishing I didn't watch it with the girl because I would have stayed up all night to binge it. Now I probably won't finish it until Wednesday.
