Wonder if KD is still willing to come here to the Knicks without another max FA.

Not sure I get the fit in NJ for KI. It smells too much like Boston for him. A young, overachieving team with an identity already established. If he goes there and him and DLo work as poorly as he did with Terry. Or if (when) he’s out and they start playing better - his whole image is somewhat shot.

Not to mention the fact that even if it works they are still not a championship caliber team. If he sees KD and AD in NY and Kawhi stays north of the wall, they are still probably 4th or 5th in the division with Philly and Boston still arguably better.

So the downside is huge, without the championship upside.

I'm neither confident nor defeated.. whatever happens happens is my stance. Cool with being legit title contender overnight or continuing with a steady rebuild. We can't lose... Unless we max out Tobias Harris and Boogie

I'm anti the idea of KD, but mostly because history has shown he won't come. Major FAs don't come to NY, they use it as leverage.

That said, I'm okay with seeing him in a Knicks uniform.

Just don't give up the farm for a one year rental if AD. I'll be pissed about that. And I'd rather have AD than KD

It dont make sense at all but Kyrie is weird. With all the media speculation in Boston. He said “I cannot wait til this is over”

If he goes to msg with KD. He would get way more attention. He a low key guy. I think thats what appeals him about Nets. Also the young guys in BK embraced Dlo and were perfectly happy with him having keys. Thats the opposite situation he had in Boston where his young guys came off ECF with a ton of confidence so naturally they weren’t so happy with Ki’s extended role

I’d give up everything for Harden to get a Harden-KD duo, but Harden is not on the market, and he never will be unless he demands a trade
