Not stay with sorry ass Charlotte.
The Knicks are still a sorry team, but hot damn...Kemba would absolutely light up MSG.
SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Kemba's career salary earnings so far are $58,199,401. Assuming Charlotte offer him the maximum they can and the Knicks do the same he has a choice between $190m over 5 years at Charlotte or $141m over 4 years at the Knicks. Which would you take?
Contrast: Irving to date $95m, Butler to date $74m.
I dont like to knock guys for taking more $ (never do when it comes to the NFL) but I think that if I were in the same position as Kemba, I would take take the less money to go to NY b/c 1) opportunity to win 2) hometown team 3) better endorsement opportunities in NY than CHA 4) legacy would increase in NY (if he won)
also, he's gonna get paid a TON of money either way and is already a well-off, so I would take the better opportunity than the better pay day
If/when Kemba brings the Knicks back to respektability...that's legendary status for a hometown dude like Kemba. To be revered in the streets of NY would be absolutely incredible.
Staying in Charlotte for the supermax...SMH.
