Yeah he got a 3 point shot now. When he was on the Lakers he was a pretty damn versatile defender and was switching on everybody. On the Pelicans nobody played defense so I ain’t holding it against him for not being so well on defense this year. It was a sh*t show in New Orleans.

Randle would have been a nice complementary big to KP.

Mavs should try to get him if they strike out on the top FA’s.

Yeah he is the ideal big u want next to KP. Someone who can switch onto the perimeter and also bang down low and do the dirty work for KP.

He is not stupid, he knows it doesnt make them a championship contender snd if they dont sign anyonr it means hr is still the best player.

ive been saying that the last few days.


regardless of what happens this offseason, i'm most excited about dotson and mitch. then if the knicks get someone like rubio, who complements defensive, smart, athletic players? i don't care who else they add. but i'm really hoping frank puts in a lot of hard work this summer to get his 3pt shot consistently. that'll make him at least rotation worthy.

we were promised a 3pt shot out of him, and he hasn't been able to get that under his belt yet. having a guard rotation of rubio, barrett, dotson, and a 3pt shooting frank won't make an all-star team, but it'll compliment a major, max worthy FA very well, regardless of who comes.

I dunno know about you but I am not a fan of 30 win ceiling teams. I welcome the chance to add some stars to the mix here. None of these guys on the roster are Superstar level. The only one that was was KP and we traded him away for the sole purpose of creating 2 max slots for 2 superstars this offseason.

Maybe the context got lost because of too many iterations of quoting.

What we are talking about is what/which of the Knicks current contracts could be somewhat useful pieces on a team with 2 or 3 star players - eg, KD+Butler or KD+AD+Jrue or .. take your poison. And, of course, for each combo of stars the usefulness of any one of the Knicks current contracts will probably vary. But, it is still reasonable to look in the abstract. Eg. ball dominance, no passing and attempted scoring with "landing position = flat on your back" is probably not what you need. Agreed, in that case not under contract ... but you can think similarly about Knox-Smith-Dotson-Trier-Ntilikina-RJ(or whoever)-Jenkins-Garrett-Ellenson.

Not that they are untouchable, just trying to think about what is likely to be useful.

Eg, money on the table, I don't see Smith as useful to a 2/3-star Knicks at all. He has much more value, imo, as a part of a trade for a $11m salary player - RoCo or TJ Warren or .. to a team that actually wants a DRose-lite young PG.

Kd has to many links to NYK. I think its between NY and GS.

First off the kyrie to brooklyn rumors are being pushed by the people around him..same thing happened when bron waa becoming a free agent, everyone said the people around him were telling him to go to new york...

Second Nets have to let russell walk, trade crabbe for nothing, and trade harris or dinwiddie for nothing to create enough for both...

Why do you guys want TJ Warren? He is an awful defender and passer. He is an isolation player like Carmelo. And he had a carrear year this season. We dont know if he will repeat his 3 pt efficienty in the next season.

Boogie is a special case.

1) He got the MLE. He didnt get the veteran minumun

2) He had a serious injury. He needeed to showcase his healthy for a bigger multi year contract in a good franchise.

3) He would be healthy to play only for a less than a half season and the probabilty of new injuries was high. His salary should be proporcional to his playing time perspective.
