K, thanks.

Rozier as our starting PG is pretty much the only thing that would make me not watch next year.

Yep same. I already accepted it all on Kyrie a while ago. AD? Sometimes I don't even care as much anymore either lol.

Just don't bring back Terry and I will be fine with the team no matter who is trotted out there.

I'd love to see what Terry looks like as a starting PG, though not necessarily with us. 8-)

Honestly, though, I'm not as opposed to bringing him back as a lot of the forum. He could grow and become a better player/teammate, it's not inconceivable. He's good at pushing the pace, low turnovers, defense (at times), and scoring when he's on. He's not as big a black hole when he knows he's getting minutes. He was a behind the scenes malcontent and mouthed off once the season was over. Plenty of players have done worse. He can be a borderline top 20 PG. Not amazing, but above replacement value. The thing I like least about him is his height and TS%.

At a minimum, hopefully you both can handle it til December 15 thru Feb range. I wouldn't be shocked to see Danny sign/match a reasonable deal with the intention of trading him if it's still not working.

However, I'm seriously curious if OKC would part with PG this offseason or Houston would really pull the trigger on trading Harden. I don't love Harden but he's still one hell of a player who you could pair with Smart and Horford and make some interesting things happen.

I don't expect OKC to part with George unless George wants out. George signed with small market OKC when he didn't really have to and as a small market, trading the guy so soon after that would look awful. And it would look even worse when he played the playoffs while injured.

Houston may decide to pull the trigger on Harden but my guess it he stays with them at least until trading deadline. However, Morey if he wants that Memphis pick and let's say Tatum to start a rebuild, may speak with Ainge to see if something can be worked out.

I kind of wish we could resign Rozier before the draft and maybe package Rozier, #14 for the #6.

Then again in this draft maybe there isn't a difference between the #14 and the #6

Rozier doesn’t get you 6, even with 14.. Worth a call I guess.

What I’m wondering is if there’s any scenario where Smart to Phoenix makes sense..

6 and TJ Warren?

6 and a 12 million dollar trade exception?

Smart and Yabu for 6, a TE, and Josh Jackson, with Jackson being flipped to a third team?

The ideal though, sure, would be Rozier signed and traded to Phoenix, where he can start, and the 6 back to us.. which means the Suns would draft for us in late June

Targeting a veteran PG in the West, via trade.... not sure how likely it is to pull it off though, would require a lot of maneuvering as his salary is pretty large...

Harden-AD, here we go! Haha. It's gotta be Conley. But won't make sense if we're losing Hayward or Horford. S&T?

Edit: Maybe Horford to a third team that has expirings. But only if AD is in the bag.

What I'm excited for is this next 6 weeks is gonna decide whether or not were competing for championships this year or if were starting over once again.

I'm fine with it but starting over (meaning Irving is gone and likely asking Horford to accept a trade) would really have me concerned for the overall abilities of management getting it done. I love Danny, I've been his biggest critic at times and I've even been down right wrong about things (fultz trade) but he cant miss this summer.

Cant wait to see what happens though.

Horford, Smart, Jaylen for Lillard and a rotation player (Nurkic? Turner’s expiring?) is the only scenario that doesn’t make me throw up in my mouth

Better stock up on Dramamine, Andrew. It's going to be a long offseason.

Huh, hadn’t thought of that - get AD for Smart/Tatum/filler and line up a second trade for a point guard - if it’s Horford, you run, say, Conley/Jaylen/Hayward/Davis/Baynes, with Morris, Theis, Williams, Ojeleye, maybe even Rozier off the bench, plus our draftees..

Injury risks, though - could work out like some of the Pelicans’ teams.. Conley, Hayward, Baynes go down and..

If the Suns trade the 6 for Conley, btw, which makes a lot of sense for both teams - that hurts the value of the MEM pick in 2021
