In your opinion, I suppose that's true. I like to think the fact that he's done something CONSISTENTLY that Martinez has not is rather significant.
No, he's not Carl Crawford... but Martinez has a single triple in his career (in 2004) and Mauer has had 2-4 times that many in each of his last three seasons. It's something he can do that Martinez cannot (or has not shown the inclination to work at, anyway).
So no, it means far more than your weak profanity.
Well Martinez can hit 20 homers a year. Mauer has like 5 now. That mor than makes up for a stupid triple here and there.

And Martinez has shown he can hit 20+ Home Runs, something Mauer has not.
Home runs> triples
This triple thing is so stupid. Who cares? Just because something is rare doesn't make it so much more valuable.

Albert Pujols has 5 in the last 4 years...does that make Alfredo Amezaga better than him because he has 9 this year?
You're not making a good argument...give it up.

"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."

Yes, Martinez has more power than Mauer at the moment, that's true. He's also 5 years older than Mauer, so that's something that could potentially change. I don't know that it will or seriously expect Mauer to turn into a 20 HR guy but sometimes you don't need a HR hitter, you need a guy who can get on base more often or who can get himself into scoring position more frequently and again, Mauer's 5 years younger, so anything could happen.

Martinez gets on plenty. His OBP the last three years are .378 .391 .374.
Yes anything could happen in the future. But right now Martinez is the better hitter.

Mauer won a batting title last year. Wait until he comes around with his power.
All around I still take Mauer, he is the complete baseball player

I don't really give a flying poop about anything but if you read the rest of my statement I also said Mauer is the all-around COMPLETE baseball player
