NY @ TOR (June 4 to 6)

Why is this team so bad at hitting? Jesus they are awful as a team.

Anyone else disappointed with Jansen? Good as a catcher but pretty awful as a hitter. I guess I was expecting more from him.

Hard to believe the Yankees have been as good as they’ve been with all the injuries they have.

They want to give CF to a guy who managed to put up a -2 WAR in the corner outfield? Ho man. The tank rolls on.

This is going to be a long ass rebuild, and it didn't have to be. I'm almost scared what we will end up trading Stroman and Giles for.

It was never going to be a quick rebuild. We definitely screwed things up by not rebuilding earlier, but this season has really laid bare how little talent we had in or near the majors with significant remaining control. The future isn't really bleak, but we're going to be patient because this isn't turning around overnight.

Vladdy HR off Britton, His OPS was .548 against lefties before today, he was due. Britton doesn't give up many homers.

I think the thought was to use some of our surplus in position players to land a pitcher. Corey Kluber wasn't supposed to be an ace but ended up being, so I wonder if thats something we'll explore soon.

Jackson is so garbage. Why is he still on this team? There must be someone else better out there. No?

Is there no one else on the Earth we can find to start a baseball game other than Jackson?

Hopefully Buchholz or Borucki are back soon, but wouldn't even mind Gaviglio or Biagini starting over EJax until then.

BBRef had Jackson at -1.1 WAR entering tonight's game. In 16.1 IP. That's a remarkable accomplishment.

How the heck is this guy still in the league? Statistically he should have retired 4 years ago.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."
