Guys .....since this Leonard stuff is picking up a bit .

Leonard did specifically say he wanted to go to the best TEAM. Let's say Leonard believes we will get both KD and AD. He could think we would be the best team out there.

He also isnt the type to want to get all the glory or necessarily be the alpha. While Kyrie may be another story in this regard.

I actually think they could fit really well together. But my question is the above article in realgm says KD and Kawhi play the same position. Is that true? Can Kawhi especially in Fiz positionless system play both SG and SF while KD plays some SF and PF? And then AD play mostly PF with a little C depending on matchups?

He will want the best team but it would also need to be a good fit.

Sure they could. Kawhi at SG is like a death penalty for the opposition.

I don't think Toronto looks so good after the year. The talent level has been great this year, but they're not getting better going forward.

Bar Siakam, their core is old, in fact. Gasol, Lowry, Green and Ibaka are in the 30s

Apparently players would sign with the nets because of the nets ownerships relationship with Asia..yes that is what Jay Williams and RJ just said as to why the nets are more attractive than the Knicks.
The other part that’s funny is they said if Kyrie and KD wind up in Brooklyn they already have the talent in place, but of course doesn’t realize that in order to land both they have to renounce their whole roster leaving them with virtually nothing..amazing how these guys are deemed as “experts” without knowing simple facts

Though it could compete for the best big 3 in history, I’m not sure Perry would even go after AD if we got both KD & Kawhi. Our other pieces fit perfectly.

I like it in theory alot but I think KD prefers SF and Kawhi SG . Is that a bit of a logjam?

I tend to like Mark’s move in that several teams are going to be attempting to dump cap clogging marginal to useless players with assets attached and the price could rise with few teams willing to go that trade route with a very deep free agent class. He’s betting on the come and I tend to think it was a precursor to more tinkering.

Kadeem Allen is a good 3rd string guard for a contender. Not really a pass first guy but he takes pride in picking up pg's 94 feet and ha some shot-making ability. A guy like that is always useful for when your pg is out for a few games and as a practice guy to give effort against the starters

That, and he's smart and can be plugged in anywhere and at any time. He's what you want coming off the bench.

I think he's an easy second stringer because he's so versatile and plays correctly.

Not every position, even on the bench, needs to be an all star or superstar. You need guys like kadeem on contending teams.

Kadeem definitely showed promise. How can free agents not want to come to this team? Our development team is top notch.

I remember when they were saying we stole the lakers top development guy and a few other legit development guys.

Welp i guess since we're losing Howard Eisley to Michigan we could have Fiz hire one of Kawhi or Durant's good buddies to take his spot on the bench? Maybe we can hire both of their mother's to bench positions....

Yeah but the Nets made their move when Kyrie is already our of the playoffs and later in the process when players have had more time to think and talk to each other about other teams and where they'd want to go and whatever else. So if there is any truth to either team knowing anything i'd give the edge to the Nets on that one, but like you said maybe nobody knows shyt and they're just taking a shot.

Nets are serious. Everyone was confident that the Knicks "knew something" when they traded KP. Well... maybe NJ knows something. They are the better team, and now they have two max slots.

The difference is we have traded our best player to open space and still gained assets.

They had to give assets away to open space and will have to let his best player go for nothing.
