That's why I upgraded to the Pro. Fan can still run high on occasion but it's not remotely close to my old PS4.

What's worse is that it's in a little cubby so-to-speak in my TV stand, so it's just recirculating hot air over and over. PS4 crashed in the final mission last night haha kinda put me over the edge

If you're a likely early adopter, just a reminder than PS5 will likely be out in mid-2020 (current rumors).

There were a bunch of articles that came out last week with information leaked from Sony insiders saying the PS5 was slated for a 2021 release. I think if the PS5 were to come out in the middle of 2020, that they would surely be showing their console this year at E3.

I think Microsoft is going to be first to market with their next generation consoles, and I think the new Xbox is a real possibility for fall of 2020.

Who knows, lol.

Just saw on Slickdeals that Kohl's has the PS4 Pro for $350+$70 Kohls Cash, I happen to have a $100 Kohl's GC. Think I know where I'll buy it from

My Pro is like a jet engine tbh. My only complaint. No performance issues or crashes though, ever.

IDK if you prefer digital over physical but DSR is $19.99 at best buy right now (physical).

Thanks, I hadn't seen those.

History tells us first to market wins the generation. Certainly that's not the only deciding factor, but interesting decision from Sony.

XBox gonna need some of those exclusives then, cause the Xbone was/is **** about them.

Exclusives are why I've never owned an Xbox. I am pretty firmly Team Sony, though I absolutely think people should get whatever system has the exclusives they want to play. Want to play Halo? Cool. You should get an Xbox then.

I think by and large, though, people in general just want a console to play Madden and/or Fifa on. So whatever is out first is what they jump on, then most people stop with 1 console.

The Uncharted series is my personal favorite video game series of all time so I’d recommend the collection as well as #4.

Gonna piss of the fiance so much. But I'm out of my rut.

Den: PS4 - Dark Souls 3 (put DS2 away for now)
Living Room: Xbone - Injustice, Outer Worlds, Void Bastards
Bedroom: Switch - Dark Souls
Work: Borderlands 2

If there's any justice in the world I'll get dumped and fired but this has been a fun week.

I thought about upgrading to the PS4 Pro, but I think I'm going to wait for the PS5. Even if it comes out in 2020, I'll probably wait at least a year before buying it just so they can work out some of the early kinks.

For anyone considering splurging on Days of Play, new Playstation bundle came with a 20% off in the store coupon. If you haven't used one already, you can buy one on Ebay for about 4 bucks and that can be used to further save a bunch of money on the sale. Went from $110 for Nioh/Detroit/NBA2k19/Crash+Spyro/Spider-man to $88.

I was looking at #4 as well, cheap right now too.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm gonna grab them.

I’ve been trying to get back into PUBG but the console controls are so bad, I need a PC.

I'm with you on that, in all honesty years after I got it I'm still pretty blown away by the PS4 as is. :)

Yeah. I don't the benefit to upgrading to the PS4 Pro justifies the current investment. The Pro is still an expensive console. Games are still being made for both systems, with the original PS4 still so ubiquitous that manufacturers can't ignore it when they're making products associated with the Playstation - games, accessories, software updates, server improvements, etc. That was my biggest fear when they released the Pro, and I'm glad the market prevented that from happening.

I think that'll change with the PS5, but not for a couple years after release. At that point, it'll be worth jumping on board.

For those who don't have a PS4, though, I'd definitely jump on Pro deals if they're out there.

Anyone else gonna watch E3 today? I'm hoping the Borderlands 2 DLC is released tonight.
