This offseason is going to be a disaster. If you're a long time Knicks fan, you know how this ends.

Past doesn’t dictate the future.
If so, trash teams would stay trash forever & never come close to winning a title. That’s not realistic.

Take a look at the Warriors record by year from 1994-95 to 2011-12. 30 wins per season average. Putrid. Things can change extremely quickly if you have the right management making good decisions. For years, we have not. We do now.

Also lets revisit Harris > Trier
The eyeball test showed Harris to be a big fail in the playoffs. Great regular season shooter but to go from 47.5% shooting to 367% FG and 42.7. % 3pt FG to 19%?.... I think he's a too one dimensional for pick over Trier. Just my opinion.

Dakomish is actually pretty level headed.

There are other posters who seem to hype the Nets a lot.

I get reacting to "Knicks great/everyone else sucks". The Nets have done some decent things. Their team is "ok"

I'm personally not going to get too excited over a fringe playoff team in a HORRIBLE eastern conference. I wouldn't have been impressed by the Knicks getting in with 40 wins or Orlando either.

Nets deserve credit for turning their team around over the last few years, but it wasn't too long ago their franchise was a JOKE.

The Knicks have been a joke. The Nets get credit for the hire and things that turned the corner. Maybe the Knicks should get some credit too. I get it's early, it's just started, but some fans and a lot of the BSPN "journalists" need to wake up and notice it's NOT the "same ol Knicks"

Or should everyone just continue to bash the Clippers, as they sucked forever, and longer and harder than even the Knicks? No. Because a few years ago, the Clips turned it around also.

More than anything, the corny sports coverage bothers me.

For all discussing what are cap space would look like if we absorbed AD.

Assuming outgoing salary is Knox, Frank, Mitch and 3rd Pick, we'd be left with $21,412,318 in cap space with Durant, AD, Dotson, Trier and DSJ

I think pat riley will get him and throw every player he has on the heat. I think riley will give new orleans richardson, winslow, dragic,Bam Adebayo,Kelly Olynyk, 13 pick for davis, solmon hill, etwaun morre, stanley johnston, and frank jackson.

At least he tries to make sense of the cap instead of just making stuff up

Also the Raptors deal is a little different. They had an All-Star but not great piece still in his prime, and were willing to gamble. It's one thing to give up a good player and a pick to get a great player for 1 year. It's another thing to give up a lot of assets to get him ... which a team would have to do likely in order to get AD.

Plus in this case, unlike San Antonio, I don't think the Pelicans would trade him for a DeRozan guy. They'll want maybe some useful players but will value picks more.
