props to Atlanta with 3 draft picks this year and 2 in 2020. they not so quietly doing an amazing rebuild.

And they already have Trae Young, Kevin Huerter and John Collins in rookie contracts!!

I don't feel like we're getting anyone of note but it's also the Knicks, it's been 20 years of disappointment.

On that note, there is nothing wrong with rebuilding. It took the Raptors years to amass the pieces they did.

We just need savvy steal draft picks like Mitch and less garbage (Knox) along with the right player development personnel.

We don't have many pieces, though. Barrett (hopefully) will be drafted by us. Mitchell Robinson. Uhhhh Dotson? Knox? We all know Frank won't be back. The "young talent" on the roster is pretty dismal outside of Robinson right now.

One thing is for sure, though. Rebuilding or not, the season will be unwatchable next year if Dennis Smith Jr is the starting PG.

You didn't get the memo I guess. We unloaded Tim's contract which was an albatross, avoided having to pay max money to KP which was another disaster waiting to happen, got freed from Lee's medium sized contract too, got two first round picks and DSJ while freeing up cap space to the current best in the league. And you say we got nothing? Rubbish. It was a great move by Perry that accomplished a lot in a single stroke

Kd wants respect. It makes no sense at all for him to go back to GS if they lose.

GS losing without KD affirms everything kd was been toiling with internally. That he didn’t get respect from the fans, owner, or teammates; and that they needed him to win championships once teams forced them into half court offense.

Kd is not going back if they lose. It’s a perfect setup for him to leave and win a championship “on his own” and “with his own team”

Why?

He says himself it's all about winning titles. The Raptors are about to win one.

The Raptors can easily get back to the Finals next year. He can sign a 2 year extension at max money and keep his options open again down the line.
