AI was at least an average defender, very fast, pesky with a knack for steals.

In the real world, there's no comparison between the two. Iverson is at least a tier above Drexler.

Isiah Thomas is one of the most overrated players in the history of the league, but he’s still better than Iverson, LOL. Does anyone actually think AI’s better?

I'd like to hear why he doesn't belong in the HoF or why he doesn't deserve his accolades. Haters go too far with this crap.

It’s ONLY 37-22 for Drexler? :noway:

Drexler remains underrated and Iverson remains grossly overrated all these years later...

He and Jerry West are only under 6'3" players in top 50 scoring career averages if I remember right. So he damn well deserved spot in the hall of fame.

Weird comparison. I couldn’t say but I will say that Drexler might be pretty underrated in an all time sense. People recall the ring he got with the rockets but he was the best player on the 2nd or 3rd best team for about a 4 year stretch with the Blazers. His nickname was Glyde and he could literally glide.

Iverson was such a beast, I haven't seen enough of Clyde to be able to comment - Totally different games though, they play nothing alike.

Drexler is severely underrated.
I love Iverson but it isn’t even close.

Dude, these results are a laaaaffable joke. I love you fellow hoopfan youngsters and no matter the team we root for, we're all part of a clan, but this is clearly a young posters result. Iverson wasn't half the player Clyde was. He was a speedly little ballhog and high volume/low percentage chucker. He refused to play PG in order to shoot. He didn't want to play the position he was better suited for at his size and decent passing ability because it meant he would have to run an offense instead of just shooting at will. He had a repug new age attitude. Larry Brown almost got him traded and it was foiled because a player involved in the deal refused to waive a trade kicker. That's how great he was - Philly and his coach wanted his ass out of there. He shouldn't have been playing SG. It wasn't for him, but he worked his superstardom against Pat Croce who worked on LB.

The practice thing was just the window to let us look into the diva attitude he must've had. I was at home in the afternoon the day of that presser and by sheer chance of having the telly on NBA TV in the background while I was on my comp, I was able to catch the live version. It was even worse than the edited version. It pulled me away from the computer because I quickly realized that this was must watch sht. Utter trainwreck/toxic waste spill. His IMAGE was that of a superstar and he did have a very strong sense of it and changed the way a lot of players from the hood presented themselves and he admittedly has the aura of a star that transcends the sport to this day, but that didn't make him a better player. Clyde had the personality of a wet mop and he looked older than he was by refusing to shave his head like Mike and so many others. But he was a great all-around player. I've seen more than enough of him in his prime to be this adamant in his favor and I'm a Laker fan. I hate Porty.

Matter of fact, in 2001, I was so sick to death of hearing about Iverson's "heart" by himself, and everyone in Philly, and Doug Collins. When the Lakers beat him and Derek Fisher hit 6/9 treys over him in the clincher, he ran off court like a B and Fish had to chase him down to give him a hug. He wasn't even man enough to give a few daps before he left. Heart my ass.

It is no contest. That should go without even having to say it. (SEE POSTER ABOVE ME)

Clyde was the better overall player and a superior athlete.

Drexler was the better player but to act like Iverson wasn't an all time great is laughable. Dude was 5'11 in shoes and was giving people the business out there.

both were fairly lazy players that could have been so much better. I'd probably pick Iverson in a pickup game of street ball, but peak Drexler was #2 in MVP voting behind the GOAT in an early 90s loaded with star power.
