The sources are saying Kyrie is favored to go to the Nets. There has not been any sources about Durant going to the Nets, only the garbage on the General Board. I thought it was pretty clear that the Knicks didn't want Irving unless it got them Durant. Irving might have taken that as a slight, but that's another issue. Nets might be the only team willing to give Irving a full max and make him their #1.

But why would Kevin Durant return? Lettuce be real, it's pretty obvious:

1) He gets to return and prove to the fans that the Warriors do need him
2) More money
3) His chance of winning more championships is still greatest with staying with Golden State than any other team.

Russilo on his podcast yesterday heard that Kyrie wants to have his own team, which he and Bobby Marks laughed at because he just had his own team. I think realistically Jimmy Butler goes there with him

This is what i've been saying for a couple of weeks now that Jimmy goes with Kyrie. I don't know if anyone remembers this but it was probably mid or late into the regular season but one of the very first rumors, at least when it had the Knicks being involved at all, was that Kyrie and Jimmy were wanting to team up and play together and of course many of us were thinking that would be with the Knicks. These rumors were a while ago and there's been so many other rumors since that i'm not sure everyone remembers but that was one of the first rumors.

Kemba is from the Bronx. Grew up a Knick fan. But tbh, this isn’t surprising. I think him going to a team like the Hornets helped his career. He doesn’t need nor crave that type of extra attention.

If you trade trade Mitch, 3rd pick plus 2/3 of Knox, Frank, DSJ then about 21mil

Be nice to grab ad Kd then have 21 left over.
Maybe russel gets pissed at the nets but wants to stay in nY and comes to the knicks. A good 3rd wheel to the ad kd combo

Shoot if we only had to trade the #3 pick in this draft out of the 7 first round picks we have in the next 5 years then we would have the ammo to make another trade like maybe for M.Conley. I'll take a M.Conley, AD, KD 3-some would be real nice. I know Conley has injury history but as long as he doesn't have any significant injury that puts him out for the year or something then we could still get by without him if he had a couple minor injuries through the season to where he missed a week or two or whatever.

Nailed it.

Kd wants respect. It makes no sense at all for him to go back to GS if they lose.

GS losing without KD affirms everything kd was been toiling with internally. That he didn’t get respect from the fans, owner, or teammates; and that they needed him to win championships once teams forced them into half court offense.

Kd is not going back if they lose. It’s a perfect setup for him to leave and win a championship “on his own” and “with his own team”

Most players of Durant's level have a massive self-image, so I believe this dissed by Warrior's GM did it. It sealed it for Durant's departure.

Basketball gods seem to be pointing to the direction in DSJ steering the Knicks’ ship.

The bump in the road I see here is if the Grizzlies select RJ leaving us no choice but to take on Ja.

Us getting Ja would be a great thing for us especially with it looking like we're definitely gonna strike out with the top PG's in free agency and the possibility of striking out with any of the big names in free agency. Perry and Mills ahve already made it very clear that they won't sign the wrong players in free agency by saying that they're only gonna sign the right players and i would think there's only two that it starts with which is obviously KD or Kawhi. If we don't get one of them then i just don't see them signing J.Butler and T.Harris or K.Middleton and T.Harris. Now i can see them signing one of those guys or one of the others out there if we get one of the big two names but not without one of them. The only other thing that would change for us to sign any other name other than one of Kawhi or KD is trading for AD. If they trade for AD then i could see them pairing him with one of J.Butler, T.Harris or another player and then maybe trying to make another trade to go with those two like M.Conley or something.

But if Memphis takes RJ then Ja would be the right choice to make and with how hard it is to find the really good PG's in the NBA and especially how hard it's been for the Knicks for many many years to find the right PG, getting a PG like Ja would be a great addition to this team. I like Barrett but it's much easier to find good/great wings then it is PG's which is why i wouldn't mind us taking D.Garland at #3 or trading down and getting Coby White. Love Barrett but finding a great starting PG is tough to come by.

Like my guy has said, it was written. He is going to be our future PG for years to come and you’ll like it.

I’d also call up the Bulls as well.

The team that could give us Cam Reddish/DeAndre Hunter and an unprotected 2020 pick wins.

Actually, it would be kind of satisfying in a schadenfreudish way to see those two egomaniacs Kyrie & Butler team up and implode on another team, preferably the Nets
