Re: PG: one away from championship!
Raps have THE best fans bar none. Just look at all the different faces in the crowd shots after the game. We are teh GOAT fans regardless of the win or not.
I love the fact that the team is bringing allkinds of people together.
I watched Gm 1 in a restaurant in Vacouver on my birthday. everyone was cheering and watching the game.
Gm 2 I watched on the plane back home. We had TVs thank goodness. Majoriry of ppl were watching and cheering during the flight.
We The North posters and Raps logos all over Pearson. Even in VanCity there were Raptors jerseys, flags, posters.
Gm 3 snuck the stream on my phone at work. I swear the IT guys must have unblocked the streaming sites just for the finals. I ended up staying a half hour past my shift because I was talking Raps with the oncoming staff.
Some guy with a We The North flag honked at me on my way to work because I have a Raps sticker in my back window.
I fkin love life right now

One more.
Game 5 victory will finally give this fan base closure. It’s been a hard 24 years and I’ve followed this team since 04. I’ve witnessed this team die year after year, some hopeful years but mostly disappointment and pure sadness. Game 5 will finally give us the feeling that we so desired. Champions. Man it still feels so surreal.

Incredible, unbelievable! I’m shaking Kawhi cemented himself as the best player in the world and the Raptors look like a team that’s been here before, amazing!

I think this is the hardest road to winning a championship that any teams has ever taken. They took down the hottest team in the east in round 1. Took down a team with 4 potential all stars, 1 of which is the best big man in the East, in round 2. Took down the MVP and team with best record in the NBA without HCA in round 3. Now they are about to take down the Warriors in 5. Let’s not forget, they swept the warriors during the regular season, which means they are going to be 3-0 at the Oracle. The place that have eaten teams alive for the past 5 or 6 years. It’s just incredible man. Simply amazing. What a ride it has been.

I just can't believe that year after year of watching some success' that were followed by a predictable collapse, this year they don't curl up and die when things get tough. Onions...that's all I can say.

Re: PG: one away from championship!
Round 1- Game 1 loss: Raptors gonna choke again
Round 2 - Raptors don't have the talent to matchup.
Round 3 - Raptors won't win a game, the Bucks are a HISTORIC team.
Round 4 - Raptors beat the Bucks only to get spanked by the Warriors in 4 or 5.

Re: PG: one away from championship!
This run has been one for the ages. It has paid homage to all of the team’s past curses and misfortunes.
Let’s start with Orlando. We LOST the first game on a DJ Augustine 3. It was such a Raptor thing to do. They got over it, and swept the Magic from that point.
Onto Philly. The team, oh that team, that broke our hearts in 2001, on a buzzer beating missed 3 pointer from Vince Carter which would have sent us to the ECF vs.......The Milwaukee Bucks. Only this time, we had home court, and the BEST player on the court, in Kawhi Leonard. Kawhi hits a miraculous buzzer beating shot that was eerily similar to VC’s in 2001, sending us past the 76ers on our home floor. That alone is EPIC. Incredible. Mind blowing.
Then we face off against the Milwaukee Bucks. We LOSE the first two games in Wisconsin. We then come back home and win an absolute nail biter in Game 3. From that point - we never looked back and we sent the Bucks back into the woods where they belong.
And then the Warriors. I mean - come on. This roster is stacked, even WITHOUT Durant. This very team won 73 games in 2016. This team has championship pedigree and they’ve been here many times. The Raptors have come in and shown them that they have what it takes. Here we are - 1 WIN AWAY FROM AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP.
I’m having a difficult time processing this. Honestly - I’m not on a crazy high right now and I keep wondering why not - likely because we haven’t won of course. But even if we do - I’m not sure how ill react - I’ve been a die hard fan since 2001 and I’ve been waiting for this moment forever. But tbh - its not just one moment - its the culmination of all of these incredible moments that we’ve had throughout this playoff run. Each and every game has its own memory. Winning the chip is the end goal, but for me its about the road that we’ve taken to get to that point. We aren’t there yet - but it’s within arm’s reach and my goodness I cant wait for Monday....
Honestly - it just seems like destiny for some reason. We just seem destined this year. I dont know what it is. Maybe its just the fact that we have arguably the best player in the world on our team...
