Yeah I'm sure it's greater than when Lebron beat the 73-9 Warriors. Come on now, Leonard has a damn good team, and he has had TONS of fortune in the Finals. Not to mention Embiid was playing hurt too. The Raptors were favored by the ESPN/TNT crews going in to the finals, while the Warriors were favored in 2016, something like 2/3 favored.

Embiid is always going to be playing with some kind of soreness, he's just an injury prone player. Quite frankly, all the injury and "flu like symptoms" talk from the media simply sounded like excuses. The Raptors have had a very tough road to the finals.

OK even then, I think the 2012 run of Lebron is just as impressive. The Melo/Stoudamire Knicks>Magic, Pacers, Celtics, and OKC. Bosh only played 1 game/16mins against the Pacers, and 3 games/limited minutes against the Celtics. That was a loaded OKC team, Durant, Westbrook, Harden (year prior to going to Houston), Ibaka, Sefolosha, etc..

Yeah I'm not debating about which run was more impressive, I guess it's subjective, but that 2012 run was indeed impressive.

I've just been seeing a lot of people say this would be an "asterisk" championship, which wouldn't be true. We've had a tough run and this Golden State team is still really good.

LeBron needed to build a superteam in Miami to win a championship and then needed to build a superteam in Cleveland to win a championship, while Kawhi can just win a championship in any team you put him in?
And some people still think LeBron is better than Kawhi? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Cleveland was not a super team. Kyrie was the only guy there who was worthwhile, and even after his championship most of realgm picked him as a being around 15-20. Love barely counts.

The difference is that Toronto has an insane defense. Putting aside Kawhi, the roleplayers from Gasol, Green, Siakam and Lowry are exceptional defensively. LeBron didn't have that in Cleveland.

Kevin Love coming off back to back All NBA 2nd Team was the Cavs 3rd best player.

It must be nice when your 3rd best player averaged 26pts 13reb 4ast shooting 42% from 3 the year before , but you’re not a super team.

According to Bron stans Bosh and Love were overpaid role players. God you Bron stans are insufferable. Every player Bron played with is trash but at the same time you believe Bron makes his teammates better...

Kawhi right now is better than any version of Lebron. How many players could go to a franchise who never won a championship, play with no other superstar, and knock off a dynasty.

As much as I love Kawhi and respect what he's done, he's not touching LeBron career-wise. It's a Hall of Famer vs a GOAT.

Kawhi is having the goat playoff peak, lebrons only argument is longevity.
This is dumb.

LeBron has won 3 of the last 7 championships.

3 out of 8 attempts

3of8 is below average. one could say, i will say, 3of8 means "if you try enough times you're bound to win". failing to do so means you're the buffalo bills and lebron is at least NOT the buffalo bills.

another way to look at it was lebron lost 5 out of 8 times if it'll help.

7 years ago LeBron wasn’t a champion yet.

He was just getting ready to win his first championship in 2012. He had that angry game against the Celtics in the conference Finals. He got better, tougher and meaner from all the losses.

Lebron had Kyrie Irving score 29 ppg and hit all the big shots. He had prime Wade but Lebron folded vs the Mavs and averaged 18 ppg. Lebron has never won a championship without 2 other all stars and without having an easy path in the East to the finals, think about that. Despite that his finals record is still horrible. Leonard is about to be 2 out of 3 in the finals including owning prime Lebron on the biggest stage. He did that with an old Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker.

This Lebron had prime Wade, Bosh and a sharpshooter in Ray Allen in Miami, In Cleveland he had a young superstar in Irving and prime Kevin Love what does Kahwi have a 33 yr old Lowry, 35 yr old geriatric Gasol and a corpse of Serge Ibaka and a green Pascal Siakam, inconsistent Danny Green no contest here.

And he's doing that again with an old Lowry, geriatric Gasol and the corpse of Serge Ibaka, he's amazing man, just incredible.

All season long Toronto fans gassed up Siakam. Now that they're in the finals they're saying he's trash and Kawhi is carrying them

Only after Game 2. They were calling him the Finals MVP after Game 1.

In modern era I dont think I have ever seen a player get traded to a team where the player had no interest in being and end up winning a championship or coming as close as kawhi has. guy just got plugged into their situation and is winning while adjusting to their style of play. Im starting to really believe hes the best player in the league now. I think if you replace lebron with kawhi that laker team makes it to the conference finals. Kawhi has improved so much and although his passing mechanics are far from the best he is no longer one dimensional on the offensive end..his playmaking ability is entering elite status. with each game he has adjusted to everything they have thrown at him and is making the right plays whether its passing or scoring.

This run by Kawhi is like watching Iverson in 01 but Kawhi actually about to beat Goliath.

And before he sat out all last season he was last seen getting the best of the Warriors.

I dont want to get caught up in this premature debate as LeBron has a top 3 resune of all time but ..

The current Raptors role players are at least on the level of

Mo Williams
Big Z
Larry Hughes
Varaejo
Love
Kyrie
Battier
Ray Allen
Wade
Bosh

These are adequate players that Kawhi would most likely win titles with in the east.
And 2011 finals doesn't happen because Kawhi mentally is probably the most neutrally equipped player of all time
