Nice find and i agree with this and have been saying this same stuff. I think all the talk that this is a 3 player draft is ridiculous and think there multiple other players that could be as good or better than Ja or Barrett and definitely think Bol Bol is worth the chance for a team if he really is still sitting there in the late lottery or mid part of the draft.

I think all the "draft expert" talk for months about this being a 3 player draft has gotten in everyone's head.

cam and bol would be something.

I'd love to get one of D.Garland or D.Hunter and Bol Bol. I'd love to get any two of those 3 really but Bol Bol could be a great weapon with good health.

Yeah, me too. This draft could end up going down as a very underrated one. No one has the gospel on these young kids especially given the lack of training in fundamentals (AAU Ball Syndrome) and the short amount of time they spend in college.

I really hope we see the NBA develope a real minor league developmental system that also provides mentor-counseling (or at least make it available to them) and even an Employee Assistance Program designed specifically for the type of young men who enter the league with poor coping skills (poor socio-economic-educational demographics). That's one of the things one hopes a student-athlete learns, just like every other student, i.e. how to socialize and interact responsibly amongst your peers in society without adult supervision.

Fuq AD. Let's go with Bol and the youth program. If we can trade down and get both Bol and De'Andre Hunter, I'll be esthatic. Get both a solid pick (Hunter) with an NBA ready body and the perhaps the player who will end up being the best from this draft.

I think Bol has bigger legs than KP had when we drafted him. Looks like that to me. Plus, he a Dinka! He's got warrior blood in him. He doesn't back down from no one. I lived in Philly when Manute played for them. He was no joke. You didn't mess with Manute.

Interesting to see Barrett in this NBA-ish like setting. He’s got a ton of potential. Scoring, distributing, energy, defensive potential to switch around perimeter.

It’s going to be up to him improving his all around game. I trust he will.

Missing out on Zion has the feeling of closing time approaching at the bar. We are left trying to talk ourselves into really suspect prospects here.

I’m 100% against drafting Barrett as. I feel he is a sloppy player who is in between positions with a sloppy handle and poor shooting mechanics.
The Knicks as a whole need to focus on 3 point improvement and defensive versatility.
I do NOT want to trade our top pick and young players for an established player like Ad. He is to fragile and it has not worked for the Knicks in the past.
To me it’s either sign a free agent like Leonard or KD or simply use cap space to charmer a further build.
In the draft I’m going to start backwards

I really like Aubrey Dawkins from CF with our pick 55. He’s athletic he can defend he can shoot from range and he has nba upside.
IF We can flip Frank N or D Smith for K Porter or Tacko Fall I’d do it
Lastly that top pick has to be a position that puts 3 point shooting at a premium.
Two players I’m stuck on are Hunter and Garland. Each represent something we do not have and need.

Thank God you don't work for the Knicks. Barrett is a tremendous prospect. His shooting form looks good. What are you watching? His footwork and shot selection has to improve, but a lot of the problem was the lack of spacing on Duke. It was a poorly constructed roster. He broke the ACC record for scoring, not to mention he's well above-average as a rebounder and playmaker. His all-around game shows a lot of promise. I see a future all-star.

Hunter is a 3+D role player. He doesn't possess any offensive trait outside of shooting that will ever be above average. Poor first step, handle, playmaking, etc. There's no upside.

Garland is a much better pick than Hunter, but we haven't seen enough of him to select him that high and his defense projects to be below average, given the switch heavy NBA.

DSJ for Tacko is outrageous. Tacko will be lucky to average 15 MPG at his size. No upside.

And we're not trading for AD unless we also get KD. If we do get KD, I'm all for getting AD because we're an instant contender. Something we haven't had in over 20 years.

A tremendous prospect who can't shoot or defend and takes more shots than Melo did. His steals, blocks and ft% were terrible.

Who cares about steals and blocks? Defense isn't his strength, but he plays very good man defense.

Plenty of college freshman have struggled from the line. His all-around offensive game is extremely promising. He's a hell of a prospect.

One of the things which I really like about him is his ability to see and pass. Good court vision.

If Justice Winslow can improve his jump shot, then so can RJ. But, right now, RJ's footwork is messed up.

Ummmmmm, Zion IS a suspect prospect!

Can't shoot (shoots at his chest similar to Shawn Marion) very flat
Zero half court game, struggles against a set defense
Out of control at times, gets a lot of charges
Too short (6'6 power forward in the NBA
Weight puts a lot of pressure on his knees
Can defend but can give Poor effort on defense and gets beat back door way too many times.
Gambles way too much
Needs to work on back to the basket

All players come into the NBA with flaws, but it's up to them and their work ethics to improve and to make the necessary corrections. This is one reason why I do like both Knox and RJB, they both want to be great and put forth the effort to reach their goals.

I think he can be avaliable at 55.

1) There are a lot of FA Centers at reasonable salaries. I think teams will prefer to invest a first draft pick in another position due to cap management. I think great prospects at Center position will fall to late first or second round.

2) There are at least 8 centers better than him in the draft.
