Yep, I agree that this does a better job of putting things into perspective.

Isaiah Thomas is average height. Chris Paul is on the taller side. Kyrie Irving and Stephen Curry are tall in a way that clearly stands out in real life. Kawhi Leonard is in freakishly tall territory.

I think the thing that does the most effective job in putting things into perspective is to get a famous non-basketball player and have him stand next to each other with an NBA player of the same height. Leonardo DiCaprio is the same height as Chris Paul. Jason Momoa is the same height as Dwyane Wade. The Mountain from Game of Thrones is the same height as Paul George.

Most NBA player heights are exaggerated a bit, because they take height in shoes and usually round up. Blake Griffin and Kevin Love measured right around 6-8 but are listed 6-10 in the NBA, DeRozan 6-5 but 6-7 in the NBA etc.

Only by a 1/4" according to combine measurements, but these kind of these vary based on the time of day you were measured and how many hours after you wake up.

I thought Harden is always talked about as being 6’6”? Edit - he’s listed as 6’5” on the stat pages. He’s noticeably taller than Westbrook who’s listed as 6’3” and I think that is low for Westbrook too based on seeing him in person relatively close up. Westbrook is much taller in real life than he looks on TV.

The only legitimate info we have on players' heights are from combine measurements. The NBA doesn't care about the accuracy of listed heights at all. Players more or less get to pick what they want within reason. Durant being the best example still listed at 6'9".
