Please. Human nature, and the moral compass is way bigger than basketball. Someone else will win the title next year, and the world goes on. Your fanbase has just been stained as low moral character people. That will stay with you much more than the title will.

I was surprised to see Durant play tonight (even saying I would eat my hat if he played game 5, which I did earlier today), and I respect him as a competitor for giving it a go.

That said, this might be a cautionary tale on rushing back even in high stakes. It's not worth it.
