Somewhere in a dark place at the back of KD’s mind he has to have lost faith in the Warriors medical dept.

If it's an achilles rupture 0% chance any team maxes him. Nobody is paying for a player to rehab for all of 19-20. He just opts in and gets $31.5 million to rehab. If the Warriors win this series he looks like a martyr and his hot start to game 5 will be respected.

I don't celebrate player injuries but this may have saved our clown car front office from themselves. He was always going to be a bad signing at his age and with his frail body. Thankfully it looks like Kyrie will be chucking and getting the screws in his knee replaced in Brooklyn.

Now that being said, this same Mills run **** show could just as soon not help themselves and end up throwing maxes at above average rotation plus players like Tobias Harris, Middleton and Kemba Walker. But even that plan seems unlikely given their existing teams don't have great ways to replace them. Kemba might be the exception, but he's not coming to New York without an A-list starter, he can lose in Charlotte with an extra year as well as he can lose in New York.

The only A-list free agent starters at this point are Kawhi and Klay Thompson. If we can't get either of them then we need to bow out and just let Noah expire ... OH WAIT. We cut ourselves off from that option. Whoops.

He's walking though.

He's barely using the crutches.

Are you guys nuts?

You want this to happen now and dodge that bullet, not sign him and then have a dead weight contract on your hands

If his body is breaking down then you don't sign him. It's that simple. Get over it

You acquire him to be the final piece, not the first piece.

Too many injuries, too much age, too much money, too many expectations.

The year of the bad fan.
Drake shoulder massages, the suckaduck owner shoving Lowry and the cheering of KD getting hurt.

KD was gonna lose either way. If he sat out the series they would say he put his free agency above the team. If he plays the worst case is exactly what happened. He was damned if he did, damned if he didn’t.

Who cares what the order is? All the shoes are dropping this summer.

KD, if he comes, won't be the only piece.

That's really all that matters, provided the diagnosis isn't catastrophic.
